It’s yellow golden with a white head. The aroma has notes of dusty grain, light cellar, fruit and malt. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of dusty grain, light vegetables and cellar, straw, light fruit and malt, and the finish is slightly dry. Tiefgüldenes Bier mit üppig viel Schaum. Wildblütenaroma nach Honig. Durchaus würziger, vollmundiger Geschmack, nussig, toastig. Harzig-herber Abgang. Hat Charakter und ist obendrein angenehm süffig. kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 4, 2012
The head is ok. the taste is bitter-grassy, a bit hoppy. Not my favourite beer from Distelhäuser. 8/6/6/6/10/6 Mariusz (12066) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - MAR 20, 2012

(Bottled) I was wasted while rating this , but I got a few notes down , but spilt some of this over my ralph lauren sweater ,im not a clumsy drunk , but as a young entreprenur the stress makes me erratic . I cant drink Oktoberfest style beers without passing a thought to Spaten’s example ....this would have its ass kicked in the second round if boxing with Spaten , but anyway its rich ,grainy, and caramelly , but lacks depth or well thought construction . Bright yellow color. The smell is grainy sweet. Starts grainy and sweet, with medium malt body. Some good hop aromas appear in the middle part. Finish is hoppy-grainy, well balanced sweet-spicy-bitter. jaghana (6164) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - NOV 12, 2010
Bottle 50cl. A clear copper beer with low head. Smell is on malt and toasted malt. Aroma is medium sweet, malty, hints of caramel and toasted malt, usual marzen. Finish is very toasted and hopy with a grassy notes, yes finish is more interesting with medium to long aftertaste. kappldav123 (6122) - GERMANY - OCT 11, 2010
Bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Nice head. Starts strong, quite spicy from the beginning, also a bit sourish. Finsih a little bit alcoholic-metallically, but still nicely spicy. Not bad! oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - SEP 23, 2010
Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is bready malts, sweet malts, some grass, herbs and mild grainy notes. Flavour is quite much the same, but the herbs are a bit more powerful. In the finish some mild sulphur notes, which are not that nice.
