Malty base but still almost a watery palate. Almost has a metallic finish. Roasted red malt dominates flavor. Descent drinkable beer but nothing impressive.

On tap at the Still tonight. I never noticed this before, but thankfully Bob has my back and pointed it out. Nice color, amber, but rather flat. True to style? Malty, smoky, drinkable, but far from my favorite style. Probably will not have it again. MadRobin (2989) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - MAR 28, 2012
On tap sample at Custom Brewcrafters in Honeoye Falls, NY.
Clear very dark copper brown with small head and good lacing.
Malt aroma, chiefly caramel.
Roasted light nutty, peaty malt taste with a surprising amount of hop bitterness for a Scottish ale.
Medium to light mouthfeel and carbonation.
Atypically hoppy for a Scottish ale. Strange, but not bad.

Much better aroma than the last Scotch ale I just had. Pours a clear amber body with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, light peat, toffee, and caramel. Flavor of caramel, roasted nuts, toasted grain. No hop bitterness.
