The bottle looks very simple, the beer in the glass not too zippy, short-living head. Starts malty and dry, a bit rusty. Some fruity notes of plum. Finish a bit moldy, unbalanced, too dry. Not my favourite!

Pop-top from Real R store or maybe it was another German grocery. Purchased in Hamburg on the way back to Bremen. Pours a cola color. Bit thin with a small head. Nose is roasted malts and grain. Taste is roasted malts, some chocolate, some burnt stuff and grain. However, it is thin and relatively unbalanced. Rather disappointing.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Clear, amber coloured, medium-sized slowly collapsing loose beige head; strawy hayish-bitter nose with a background of sweet toasted malt; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied, but a bit sticky; short sweetish-bitter, a bit hayish finish. Drinkable, not too harmonic...........
