Very hoppy aroma. A massive body offsets the hops, but overall the high alcohol unbalances an otherwise excellent beer. CCCP (16) - , British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 19, 2008
Had this from a cask at Central City’s Cask Festival. Cloudy, with a fair amount of particulate. Very thin amber head with a hint of citrus in the nose. Big body. Mildly alcoholic in the end - surprise surprise. This is an excellent IPA. mgermani (1002) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 4, 2008
Pours a nice orange with a creamy head and nice lacing. Aroma is lightly sweet with lovely fresh grassy hops. Holy lupulin batman! Nice oily hops, light maltiness, good crisp finish. Astringent, fresh, yum! Good body & carb. Could use a touch more malt. Nice! Sammy (12197) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 23, 2008
Downtown Dix. A bit cold, letting her warm up. Active carbonation, a decent mouthfeel, a competent IPA, 8.2% ABV, a decent mouthfeel, drinkable. C hop in aroma and taste. presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 10, 2007
Pint. Amber with a creamy head. Light aromatic citrus hop nose. Aggressive lasting hop flavours and sweet malt. Don’t notice the alcohol. Nice balance. Chewy juicy citrus.

UPDATED: OCT 31, 2007 A clean and vibrant IPA. Strong pine oil aroma, pleasant. Lovely haze. Gorgeous lacing. Hopped up and mellow at the same time. Manages also to have assertive body but not sticky or heavy. Soft mouthfeel and high level of quaffability. Potential for session drinking.
Sampled Oct 24, 2007 at the brewpub. Re-rate Oct 31: although equally as tantalizing, tdiacetyl (slight sour/yeasty) seeped through. Too bad! Doesn’t prevent me from ordering again tho. BeerPrince (1701) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 17, 2007
After Oakes told me of this great beer I finally headed three blocks down the road to try it. This really is a great IPA, one of the best. The hop and malt balance is bang on and it finishes with such a clean dryness. A beauty. probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 25, 2007

App.: Deep golden-light copper, tiny white head.
Aroma: A good helping of peppery, pine hops, quite resinous, the malts are all but buried. As it warms, I smell Seville orange marmalade.
Palate: Medium body, silky, with fine, sharp carbonation.
Flav.: A huge mouthful of peppery-pine-resinous hops, a little more of the malt comes through. The hops turns citrusy on swallowing, there is a little sweetness and a decent bitter finish.
Nicely balanced. A beautiful IPA.
Red amber with a frothy head and sheet lacing. Floral and citrus hops in the nose. A touch bitter and piney. A little skunky almost. The flavor is very citrus (oranges) and bitter. A little hint of alcohol shows up. Toasty malts. Nice and strong bodied. Orange citrus finish. Good beer as well. CapFlu (5127) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 29, 2006
(Cask) Sampled at the brewpub during CaskNight on Thursday, November 23rd, 2006. Intensely fruity: mandarin orange and a whack of the pine paddle. Frothy white head with a deep orange body. Very strong orange citrus flavour with a low malted finish. Good, strong and citrusy.
