Aroma is interesting, very vegetable, most notably carrots. Flavor is not as nice as the aroma. More vegetables. Not my kind of style. fredandboboflo (1570) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2009
Bottle, best before 25/09/09. Aroma of sweet potato, nutmeg?, cinnamon?, allspice?, carrot, caramel. Flavor feels very veggie-laden, seems to be more spice than vegetable in the description, but who knows. Sweet veggies and sweet caramel malt are balanced by the spices. Medium bodied. Ok. Bottle from my Secret Santa, best before 09/25/09. Pours a cloudy brown with a thick light tan head. Aroma of spices: water chestnut, vegetable stew. Flavor is more spicy with lots of vegetables and sweet malt. Perhaps some mint leaves. Sweetness balances out the vegetabley spices (although maybe a little too sweet). I liked it though.

Bottle. Pours cloudy amber coloured with a dense tan head. Aromas of sweet malt, spices, herbs and caramel. Malty flavour with spicy notes. finol (3394) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 31, 2009
Ok beer but with a thin body. I did not get the complexity of this beer.

Bottle. Buttery spicy beer. Way too thin for all the spices. Still quite enyoable session beer. KnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 18, 2009
On tap at Copenhagen Beer Festival 09.
Nice, malty, spicy beer. Cinnamon, cloves, mint. Very pleasant, but one galss is probaly enough at one setting. For cold winter evenings and open fires. deyholla (11609) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 17, 2009
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2013 Tap at Beer Festival. Poured cloudy light brown with a brownish head. Aroma is full of spices and sweet notes. Flavor is full of spices with caramel notes. Quite complex and enjoyable. espenra (1015) - Kurland, NORWAY - JAN 16, 2009
50cl bottle from Barley Wine. It poured an amber colour with a big creamy off-white head that settled down fast in the glass. The aroma is sweet and alluring and smells of spices, hops, caramel and some liquorice. A very nice start indeed. The flavour is a bit of a let-down after the aroma. Notes of caramel and spices, some weak notes of hops and malts. A bit watery. It has a short, but lingering aftertaste. Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 17, 2008
Draught at EBF 2008, Copenhagen. Deep orange to russet colouration with some lacing. You certainly pick up several of the six spices on the nose and the liquorice root comes through in a wonderfully restrained way in the flavour. The alcohol is extremely well hidden making this a complex but drinkable beer. It is subtle yet sessionable. A great mix of spicy/herbal flavours.
