English: An accumbent experience; that is one way of describing the adventure ’Nekron’. A discrete smoky character from both peat and beech smoked malt defines the bottom layer. In the middle, a light caramel sweetness and the vinous alchohol take over. The roasted malts and barley add notes of coffee, chocolate, and roasted rye bread. The moderate hop bitterness mixes willingly with the whole. Nekron can easily stand alone but enjoys the company of heavier dishes or chocolate rich desserts.

Backlog. While it doesn’t quite live up to it’s big brother (The Pride) this is well worth a try.

330ml bottle @Cimmeria, Oviedo.01-03-2014.
In short: a robust Stout.
Pours black with nice tan head. Some head retention, good lacing. Roasty, coffee and liquor aromas. Medium body, silky texture, soft carbonation. Taste is quite bitter, roasty, coffee, chocolate, liquorice. Extremely well balanced and enjoyable. Really good one.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar - SF. Almost solid black pour, negligent foam. Potent brew: very peaty (peppery?) with all the usual heavy stout suspects. Dry bitter finish. Somehow it works, but not for the feint harted.

Botella 33cl en CerveZeres. Increíble esta stout, hacía tiempo que no probaba una tan buena. Espuma gruesa y oscura como el chocolate. Notas muy intensas de café y un claro amargor. Estupenda.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Ar: roasty, vanilla, coffee, chocolate, alcohol, licorice, ash, light smokiness. Ap: black colour, big Brown head, lacing. T: very soft bite for the style, very mellow, noticable sweetness, salty, no bad flavours and nothing, nothing at all that excites you, this is the essence of boring. P: fullbodied, soft carbonation, salty and roasty finish. O: not a bad brew, but not at all worth the hype.

Ernest (7658) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 12, 2013
Bottle from BarleyWine, Copenhagen (BB May 2014). Head is initially small, frothy, brown, mostly diminishing. Body is black (non-opaque, flashlight-tested). Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, dark chocolate), lightly hoppy (herbs, flowers), with light notes of vanilla, smoke. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Pretty mediocre, nothing close to Gudelos...nice enough aroma but simple, and watery and kinda sour in the mouth. Not a fan.
