English: An accumbent experience; that is one way of describing the adventure ’Nekron’. A discrete smoky character from both peat and beech smoked malt defines the bottom layer. In the middle, a light caramel sweetness and the vinous alchohol take over. The roasted malts and barley add notes of coffee, chocolate, and roasted rye bread. The moderate hop bitterness mixes willingly with the whole. Nekron can easily stand alone but enjoys the company of heavier dishes or chocolate rich desserts.

This is an absolutely fantastic stout. Very smooth great balance of coffee and chocolate. Second favorite stout behind Founder Breakfast Stout.

Pitch black with a huge, creamy, light brown head. The aroma has light notes of peaty smoke and licorice. The mouthfeel is oily and the flavour has light notes of peaty smoke, but not as much as i expected. But hey - this is one harmonic stout - that has the features that I like: Full body, smooth and pleasant - and yet feisty and raw - a true devil, that I have to worship! Apart from the light smoke I also find bitter licorice, a vinous sweetness, dark fruit, chocolate, a little coffee and the finish is very long and has a nice bitterness. Very, very nice indeed! 2057

Black with a lasting light brown head. Druity aroma with dates in it, some roast malt. Dark malt flavour with just the right level of bitterness

50cl bottle from Barley Wine. Best before 2008-10-04. It poured a pitch black colour with a big beige creamy head that settled down slowly in the glass. The aroma smells of roasted coffee, roasted malts, dark chocolate and alcohol. The flavour is slightly bitter and tastes of dark rosted coffee, chocolate, malts and alcohol. It has a long, lingering aftertaste.

Bottled. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, licorice, vanilla, wood, caramel and some chocolateish notes. Flavuru is very much the same along with really big time smoke. Alcohol gives a nice warming completement to the brew.

On tap at EBF 08. Black, lasting tan head. Lovely aroma of ginger biscuit, excellent choc, wow. That’s full in the mouth, great chocolate, really intense. Fullish to start with, then becomes dry. Intense arma. Really good dry malts. It’s like nothing I’ve had before. Drinking choc, with slightly stinging finish. Stunning.

Draught at EBF 2008, Copenhagen. Similar looks and flavour to the Son of Nekron porter. Likewise, great roasted malt flavours and good balance. A lovely stout.

500ml bottle. A very dark beer with a beige head and some lacing. A little sweetness mixed in the aroma of roasted malts, smoke and chocolate and a hint of hops. Medium body with medium soft carbonation, creamy with a bitter finish. Flavor is sweet with roasted malts and coffee, chocolate and smoke with just a little hops in the bitter finish. An all out great rounded stout. No abrupt shifts in flavor from start to finish. I like.

330ml bottle @Cimmeria, Oviedo.01-03-2014.
In short: a robust Stout.
Pours black with nice tan head. Some head retention, good lacing. Roasty, coffee and liquor aromas. Medium body, silky texture, soft carbonation. Taste is quite bitter, roasty, coffee, chocolate, liquorice. Extremely well balanced and enjoyable. Really good one.
