500 ml bottle from Wine and Cheese Place. Pours a hazed fig-amber color with a small off-white head that settles into a small film with a ring. Small rising carbonation bubbles are visible on the edges. Aroma of toffee, dates, figs, raisins, brown sugar, and toast. Right on the money. Flavor of toffee, brown sugar, raisins, dates, and figs, with some really nice spiciness late, like a little black pepper and rye. Nice and balanced, and not overly sticky or sweet. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation. I really enjoyed this, and was pleasantly surprised because I was a bit disappointed with Gudelos. RuneStumo (2721) - Haugesund, NORWAY - MAY 24, 2013

On tap @SWBF12, rated from old notes. Aroma with loads of sweet caramel and sweet fruits, also notes of spice and nuts. Taste is massive with toffee, caramel, nuts, fruits. Palme (4832) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 18, 2013
On tap @ Henrik. This is a deep ruby red one with a medium sized lasting light brown-ish top. Sweet sticky caramel and loads of sweet fruits on the nose. Cacti, toffee apples, glazed nuts and a soft spicy tone. It has a soft prickling carbonation level and a heavy thick full bodied mouthfeel. The taste is not bad either, and it’s not hard to tell that this is a proper barley wine. Loaded with sweet toffee and caramelly malts. Surprised how much nuts I find in this, cause the aftertaste is just the same as I get when I have with bad continence allowed myself a handful of nuts from board.. The alcohol is surprisingly well camouflaged, and it feels really lightdrinkable. Ends with traces of old ripe fruits, sweet blue plums and red apples. Wait, apple is a fruit, so nevermind that last bit. Is a plum a fruit? A berry? Hmm.. I should know this. Have I had to much of this? 08.02.2013 teddybeer (4176) - Madrid, SPAIN - MAR 14, 2013
[Thanks to fonefan]. Bottle. Light brown colour with an off-white head with an average lasting. Aroma is sweet, caramel and spicy. Flavor is malty, toasty, caramel, slightly dry fruits notes, bready. The final is sweet with a good alcoholic finish. freeofthoughts (688) - Raytown, Missouri, USA - MAR 1, 2013
Pours a dark copper brown with a little beige head. The aroma is mild with a light grainy sweet must. The flavor is more full with an English old ale simplistic nature, a bit of a grainy bite with drying grainy bitter. Smooth overall, easy to drink with lower carbonation, lingering herbal earthy notes with a little touch of sweet dark fruits. Joakgust (1492) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 26, 2013
Bottle, 50cl - Semi hazy beer with a large white head. Aroma is malty with notes of spices, caramel, dried fruit and som alcohol. Flavor is malty with notes of toffee, caramel, herbs, some vanilla and a hint of alcohol. Very warming beer and perfect for this time of year. Slight hints of mintyness indicate hopping with Northern Brewer.
