Bottle. Aroma of caramel, molasses, dried orange-red fruits. Flavor is sweet with these fruit notes and hints at richer molasses/toffee flavors. Pretty basic. Darkover (1538) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 23, 2013
Dark red with a small tan head. Aroma and flavor of berries, caramel and toffee. Taste is very sweet, sticky, average carbonation. Ok TorbenJensen (1517) - Valby, DENMARK - JUL 24, 2015
Foam is great in this barley. Normally, the alcohol frother strong barley not as much and not as long as it is the case with this. I see it, however, as a positive sign, since the foam helps keep the fragrance and flavors awaits.
The aroma is vinous, very caramel and a little hop. The taste is very composed of fruit, as it is very hard to put on fruit names. In addition, it has a clear taste of caramel malt and hop bitterness that is surprisingly rich in relation to the beer-type. It has a sweetness that is a little reminiscent candy, but its great taste adds the natural acidity facing a perfect balance to its many other flavors. It has a large thermal alcoholic flavor, but because of the high hop bitterness will never penetrating the alcohol. It is certainly one barley that will be very different after long term storage, but even as a young barley it has a great character quality. It’s damn nice ... On tap at the local option. Pour is murky brown/amber with a frothy beige head that retains fairly well into this snifter. Spotty lacing is present as well. Dark fruits, caramel, and cream on the nose. The flavor profile is caramel, cream, dark fruits, sweet breads, licorice, and toffee. What I really noticed about this brew was the nice balanced flavored profile all around. Joakgust (1449) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 26, 2013
Bottle, 50cl - Semi hazy beer with a large white head. Aroma is malty with notes of spices, caramel, dried fruit and som alcohol. Flavor is malty with notes of toffee, caramel, herbs, some vanilla and a hint of alcohol. Very warming beer and perfect for this time of year. Slight hints of mintyness indicate hopping with Northern Brewer.

Tangy aroma of figs, fruit and malt. Sweet taste of brown sugar and malt with hints of fruit. A bit sweet but Nice! beer_est_deus (1286) - örebro, SWEDEN - MAR 16, 2014
Ruby red brown with a thin skiff floating on top. Yum yum yum aroma. Medical cherry, spice, dark oak, sweet heavy plumb, vanilla, and mild hints of pennies. This aroma is exactly what I was craving tonight. So much CHERRY in the nose. Taste is good but not as massive as the aroma. Bitter wood, more medical cherry, earth, more stuff. Soft mouth feel with tingly carbonation. The 10.5% is noticeable but is balanced perfect with the body of the beer. The bitter is really coming to the front of the flavour now. This is exactly what I look for in a B-Wine, thick flavour, sweet with a bitter edge, cheery, and a oaky malt. Perfect for me it is but there are better out there. SPICE! This beer hit the spot. pentaz (1264) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 6, 2013
Bottle @ Café Langebro . Pours murky brown with a frothy beige head. Aroma is quite malty with caramel, dades, nuts, brown sugar, spice, overly ripe or almost rotten dark fruit, spice, cardboard and yeast. Taste is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, carbonation is near flat. Finishes sweet, nutty and spicy. Almost like a bad malt liquor. esox (1225) - Oulu, FINLAND - JAN 21, 2012
Bottled. Hazy, dark amber beer has thick and creamy head and nice lacing. Fruity and herbal hoppy nose, some raw apple and a touch of alcohol. Winegums and dried apricots. Sweetish, dark caramelly flavor and drier pale malts. Slightly resiny bitter finish with hints of toasted almonds. Slightly vegetal and alcoholic. Smooth, slick texture with alcoholic warmt. Medium bodied. Simple BW.
