All Djævlebryg is unusual and I give credit for that, but this one didn’t surprise me in a positive way. Rune (12947) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 2, 2009

Pours a wonderful clear, dark amber with a fine, frothy yellowish head. Aroma is very fruity, lots of raisins, overripe plums, some dough, rye bread, caramel. Low to medium carbonation, foamy and a bit oily mouthfeel. Flavour is a bit too vinious (a bit too sharp, that is). Otherwise, flavours include the fruitiness from the aroma (subdued by the alcohol though). A good caramel sweet maltiness as well. A bit too much.
@Tampa Wkly Gathering @tpd975s Thanks Ibrew2or3-bottle-pours a light tan ring for a head and hazy amber color. Aroma is sweet medium malt, musty. Taste is sweet medium malt-caramel, musty, some fruit. Sammy (12347) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 23, 2012
run of the mill barleywine. sweet more than hoppy. Mahogany body with good lace. Boozy and malty aroma. Pinball (12166) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 2, 2008
Bottle, 33cl. Best Before: judgement day (lol - label says so!).
my first barley wine..
flavor was mostly alcohol, but beneath the strong alc, i got a well compsed well balanced unidentified taste, sort of like cognac or wihskey, but less bitter and more like fruit juice. Interesting brew, my first of its kind, and although i don’t like aged beer, this one is good. sophisticated.
