I bought this beer because of the awesome label. Nice foam with an opaque orange appearance. Citrousy and malty scent. Very confusing first taste, somehow soft. Stronger hoppy and bitter after taste, not too bitter tough. Overall nice Ale, but price/taste ratio is not so good. It’s very expensive here in Finland. suedehead288 (426) - BELGIUM - OCT 5, 2012
2012.10.05 - bottle 50cl - hazy orange tanned beer, creamy coloured head. Aroma : caramel, malts, notes of citrus, spices. Mouth : malts, caramel, some sweetness that ends in moderate bitterness. Beerheart65 (1503) - Pori, FINLAND - SEP 10, 2012
Aroma has toffee, some hoppiness. Inviting. Hazy honey, creamy big head. Taste is good and long, full body, sticky feel, finish dry and bitter. Good beer overall. Chiswick (159) - Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 4, 2012
Thick, hazy liquid; orange/amber colour. Pours a thin white silky head. The aromas hint towards a very fruity, dry IPA; a fresh, slightly herby aromascape. The taste follows nicely with a tingly, honey sweetness and a mild and round bitter sourness. Everything seems to be linked and balanced accordingly. The palate is dry but moist, bringing out everything in a very balanced way. A full, balanced IPA with fruit and spices. Very enjoyable. daje (4436) - NORWAY - SEP 4, 2012
Bottle from Systembolaget Drottninggatan, shared with edvard june 30th 2012. Hazy golden body, fluffy white head. Aroma of pine, alcohol and grassy hops. Taste is malty, caramel, and english style hops. Dry mouthfeel.

Very dry, some grass and spruce, earthy too. Hoppiness not too overboard, reasonable bitter. Yet somehow harsh and not very balanced. Appreciate the homage to Darwin, not sure if he liked beer though. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 8, 2012
In short: A messy and very yeasty dirty blonde semi-hoppy beer of some kindHussey (60) - North Carolina, USA - JUL 14, 2012
How: Bottle 500ml Consumed 3 months before expiration date
The look: Cloudy blonde-orange body topped by a large off-white head leaving a moderate amount of lacings on the glass
In long: Nose is sports locker, citrusy hops (apricots, grapefruits) and banana peels yeasty esters. Taste is also has a dirty component to it. Again, sports locker comes back to mind, some caramel, marmalade, banana puree, grapefruity bitterness, orange peels, Caesar salad dressing (I’m not kidding!), quite a bit of yeast (dirty mishandled yeast) and bread crumps. This beer is total chaos, but no an unpleasant chaos. An overall sensation of moldy/rotting bread. Sweetness level is a bit too high for the style and bitterness is far from assertive. So what we have left is some kind of yeasty half-bitter dirty amber ale. Drinkable, but not enjoyable. Nothing really memorable here, but I drank it anyway because sometimes I’m just so thirsty for a beer. The rest of the time I’m asleep.
Tap @ Green Lion Inn in Malmo, Sweden. Recommended by bartender. Pours a hazy golden hue. Like a hefe. Powerful earthy citrus nose. Some West Coast hop action mixing with some Old World hoppiness. Very nice nose. Great mouth feel. Heavy body, probably due to a hell of a grain bill, but with a lively crispness. Different from the American IPAs that are my go-to brews. Very interested in the yeast used for this beast. Very enjoyable Danish IPA. Highly recommended. DutchDrebus (6080) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JUL 12, 2012
My rating got deleted by my mbile phone. Too lazy to type it out again. Short version: nice beer, not realle a double ipa because of some red feuit influences. Benzai (16226) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUL 12, 2012
50cl bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear amber color, medium sized off-white head that leaves a nice lacing. Smell malts, fruits, lightly yeasty. Taste malts, overripe and dried fruits, medium bitter. Weird, nothing like any oher double IPA I know. Medium to full carbonation, medium body.
