This is my favorite beer of all times. I’ve been drinking hundreds of bottles of this one in the past couple of years. :)
Brownish-amber color, medium head, very hoppy and malty. The fruity bitterness and very long bitter aftertaste is really good. Full body and thick with a very long finish. Hussey (60) - North Carolina, USA - JUL 14, 2012
Tap @ Green Lion Inn in Malmo, Sweden. Recommended by bartender. Pours a hazy golden hue. Like a hefe. Powerful earthy citrus nose. Some West Coast hop action mixing with some Old World hoppiness. Very nice nose. Great mouth feel. Heavy body, probably due to a hell of a grain bill, but with a lively crispness. Different from the American IPAs that are my go-to brews. Very interested in the yeast used for this beast. Very enjoyable Danish IPA. Highly recommended. ClubGonzo (5670) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 28, 2010
Pours a wonderful hazy deep orange with a big, off-white head. Damn this beer looks nice. Nose is complex and very fruity: vanilla, strawberry, raspberry, hints of grassy licorice. Taste is equally complex, with much of the same aromas re-appearing on my palate. In addition, a very elegant twist in the taste development makes a loop in the palate towards the end, filled with molasses and hints of cinnamon. Delicious. Moderately bitter and lingering finish. Mouthfeel is filling, as a double IPA should have it, and despite the relatively light ABV the OriginAle is as satisfying taste-wise as most of its other, higher alcohol genre colleagues. This is a real American style DIPA, fruity and bitter at the same time. Very solid. raymondwave (931) - FINLAND - MAY 14, 2010
Bottle 0,5 l. Murky brown, big beige head, looks damn appealing. Nose has hops, pine, barnyard, malts, forest, earth, maybe some cellar. Flavor is intense, piney hops, big malty background. Very very nice, a real delight. Easy to drink despite the high alc. Smooth carb with big body. kalervo (1045) - FINLAND - OCT 15, 2011
Better than I expected. Nice full body with fresh aftertaste. Enjoyable bitterness.

Bottle at home. Hazy copper color with medium white head. Wonderful aroma of hops, fruits, sweetness and little malts. Nice taste of hops and fruits. Some sweetness to balance hops. KnutAlbert (6753) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 8, 2009
Bottle from Ølbutikken.
Glowing ruby and gold. Full flavour, long lingering finish. Lovely interplay between malt and grassy/flowery hops. Worthy of a tribute to Darwin! KimJohansen (10509) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - APR 27, 2010
Clear amber with a medium off white head. Hoppy aroma with pine, malt and fruity notes. Hoppy flavour with pine, grapefruits, peach and floral notes. Finished bitter. liinis (1773) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 23, 2010

Yellow amber colour, white foam. Medium carbonation. Fruity nose. Aroma of citrus, flowers, grass and hops. Medium sweet. Very well balanced. Dry and bitter finish. Good!
