COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Previously brewed by Djævlebryg at Brøckhouse, Hillerød, Denmark.

English: An accumbent experience; that is one way of describing the adventure ’Nekron’. A discrete smoky character from both peat and beech smoked malt defines the bottom layer. In the middle, a light caramel sweetness and the vinous alchohol take over. The roasted malts and barley add notes of coffee, chocolate, and roasted rye bread. The moderate hop bitterness mixes willingly with the whole. Nekron can easily stand alone but enjoys the company of heavier dishes or chocolate rich desserts.

Bottle. Restrained aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Pitch black with rich light-brown creamy head. Roasted malts and an almost rauchbier-like roastedness dominates the taste. Taste is very much like a richer version of son of nekron, thus a little better but still not my cup of tea/beer. Not bad, but I’ll probably not buy this beer another time.

Draugt @ ’Ølbaren’, Copenhagen. Pitch black with a slightly compact brown/yellowish head. Roasty, coffee and alcohol / nail polish aroma. Bitter hops with faint hints of roasted malts that goes into the aftertaste. Nice dry finish.

On draught at Copenhague Beerfestival 2007. Pours a deep black beer with a beautifull beige to brown creamy head. Lots of roasted malts, coffee and chocolates in the nose. Tatse is very roasty coffeeness with chocolate sweetness. Full bodied, well balanced with a long slight hoppy and big coffee finish.

Botella 33cl en CerveZeres. Increíble esta stout, hacía tiempo que no probaba una tan buena. Espuma gruesa y oscura como el chocolate. Notas muy intensas de café y un claro amargor. Estupenda.

500ml bottle. A very dark beer with a beige head and some lacing. A little sweetness mixed in the aroma of roasted malts, smoke and chocolate and a hint of hops. Medium body with medium soft carbonation, creamy with a bitter finish. Flavor is sweet with roasted malts and coffee, chocolate and smoke with just a little hops in the bitter finish. An all out great rounded stout. No abrupt shifts in flavor from start to finish. I like.
