COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Modrá Hvězda 12° Kvasnicový Světlý Léžák. Unfiltered.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy golden, creamy head. Orangey nose with lots of fresh saaz hops. Soft and creamy with medium body. Long oily bitter finish. A full flavoured 12°, containing everything I want in a Czech pilsener. By far my favourite beer at the brewpub!

unfiltered pilsner is becoming quite a popular offering from many czech micro´s. this was quite pale with light murkiness and a fat head with big craters in it. vanilla and peach aroma and a good hit of saaz. tasted a bit like mango weis bars witha hint of muesli and a long lingering slightly metallic bitterness, classy stuff, nothing crazy about it, just a really good czech pils

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2007 On tap at the rather blue brewery - makes sense I suppose. Lovely hazy gold, good head. Quite sulfurous in the best way and the hop aroma seems vaguely German (?) to me. Fresh corn chip yeast flavour, big juicy malt and a tiny bit of saltiness in the finish. Fairly light on for hops relative to other Czech beers but doesn’t really suffer for it. Actually some Zoigls reminded me a lot of this beer. Incredibly fresh and drinkable... and delicious. Beautiful.

PETka z pivovaru. Hazy pale yellow, enourmous large head, hoppy nose. Very aromatic hops (Saaz), slight fruityness, malty body. Full-bodied despite "only" 4.5%Alc @ 12°. Delicious.

(Rating #1558)

Draught at the brewpub.

Hazy pale golden coloured, small white head, fresh hoppy nose. The taste is also fresh hoppy, slight malty and mild yeasty with bitter finish and long lasting aftertaste. The best Modrá Hvězda beer.
