On tap at Dock Street. Dark, translucent golden with an inch of head that really never went away. Mouth feel was very heavy for a golden ale and extremely carbonated. Lots of spices here. Very good beer that was very drinkable except for the over-carbonation. I would definitely drink again. santos999 (318) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 15, 2008
A very nice and well balanced, clean and refreshing ale. Good hop bitterness upfront with a dry, almost spritzy mouthfeel. dmtroyer (431) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 14, 2008
By far my favorite of the sampler. I agree with can8ianben that they need to remove their descriptor of "pale ale" from the menu, this is far from an american pale ale! Nose was extremely floral, spicy, yeasty and fruity. Body followed suit with the bit of banana one often comes to expect, but a surprisingly spritz of hops on the dry finish. Mouthfeel is almost perfect with good weight from the ingredients but good carbonation to keep it alive. Well done! can8ianben (1554) - State College, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 14, 2008
They have to change the name of this... I instantly thought "oh great, another sucky pale lager", but was plesantly surprised to find a complex, almost belgian style beer. Lovely mouthfeel, interesting hop additions, and smooth drinkability. I was sad my glass was empty! Hawksfan17 (890) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - JUN 29, 2008
Pours a hazy orange gold with no head. Smells of light hops and flowers with notes of orange. Hop flavor, bitter on the end with a little hint of fruit. Smooth finish with a tangy aftertaste.

On tap at the brew pub. Pours a hazy golden with orange notes and a medium creamy/bubbly off white head. Aroma of mixed citrus, cereal grains, vanilla, light oak and fresh hops. Flavor was pretty hoppy, light oak, cereal grains, citrus notes and what seemed like American oak. hopdog (12584) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 3, 2008
On tap at the Dock Street Brew Pub. Poured a medium golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of floralness, citrus, and a trace of oak. Tastes of citrus, vanilla, and light oak in the finish. Lively body with a dry finish. adrian910ss (2575) - Doylestown, PA, USA - MAR 2, 2008
On draft. Pours a hazy golden honey with a medium white head. Aroma of weak floral hops, honey and citrus. Taste of floral hops with a honey presence and a hint of citrus. Nice. jde123 (775) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - DEC 24, 2007
Tap, I really enjoyed this ale! Although I seem to be partial to gold ales, must be my royal blood, although my blood is far from blue my teeth say otherwise? At any rate, This beer is quite enjoyable. Pours golden with medium white head. Aroma and flavor of sweet hops and some malty taste. Body is quenchable. Enjoyment. This one is only Golden in Color - I think its actually an American Pale ale per the description listed on the beer board at Dock street. An oaked APA? Its pretty nice if you ask me. Aroma is very citrusy with some bready malts and some light oak detectable. Flavor is very citrusy and acidic (in a good way) and just assertive enough to go with most pub fare. Nice mouthfeel. I want to know more about this one!
