Pours dark brown with a thick tan head...good lacing and retention. Aroma has lots of dark chocolate...on the sweeter side...some firm roastiness. Flavor follows suit...nice dark chocolate, good roastiness, and a hint of dark fruit...very faint tobacco. mouthfeel is m edium/full and creamy with a dark chocolate/roasty/dark fruit finish that lingers to roasty bitterness.

On tap at the brewpub. Ebony with a lacy tan head. Nose is coffee and dark chocolate. Medium body with a touch of carb. Taste is dark roast and mild grapefruit. Wonderful note of Belgian chocolate builds with a dry finish. Nice stout with just enough sweetness. My favorite DS so far. Still waiting to be wowed.

Black pour thin off white beige head, thin and watery mouthfeel ..... Taste is of cocoa/bitter dark chocolate, smoke, little chalky and roasted malts leading to a bitter hop that lingering into a dry bitter finish .... aroma is of cocoa, roasted malts and light smoke .... thin but the abv is hidden well .... like a smoked porter more than a stout

Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma is thick and roasty - Dark chocolate, earth, berries in there. Flavor is dominated by a belgian yeast/dark chocolate mix that is quite unique. Also getting some coffee, smokiness, and earthy flavors. Full bodied feel. Im diggin this one.

Deep black, opaque, even at the edges, just a glimmer of light comes through at the edges... No head, poured to the rim, but little retention, or livelyness when i swirled later on.. Loads of caramel in the aroma, has a distinct sweetness over a slightly roast very mildly chocolaty aroma... kinda lively mouthfeel, some lightly bitter chocolate flavors, very light alcohol, some subtle dark fruits, slightly milky... Lots of chocolate in the flavor...
