Better on tap than out of a bottle, yet still a very nice cider. If it was a bit more dry, I would really love this stuff, as it’s a tad sweet. Still a well made domestic cider that puts most of the competition to shame, but as it stands now, the Cassis-style Cider (Oakes won’t let me add it to the site) is the best from the great folks at Warwick Valley.

[bottle, Framboise version] Sweet raspberry and apple aroma. Nice clear pink appearance with some small bubbles. Fresh apple flavors with some good tartness. Raspberries add some interesting sweet fruit and acidity. Overall, very good-- perhaps a bit sweet towards the finish, but quite drinkable.

12 oz bottle, courtesy of LooseCannon - thanks Ron! Pours like a pale ginger ale, clear, fizzy as hell with no head. Lots of carbonation bubbles rocketing to the top. Sweet, lightly tart apple nose, a very light astringent note. Light, bubbly mouthfeel attached to a medium body. Sweet apple flavors, crisp and fresh - more like juice, with some carbonation. Mild pucker in the finish. Nice, but a bit one-dimensional.

12oz - Pours nearly clear, small bubbles. Tomato and bisulfite on nose. Sour apple palate, off dry in a good way. Nice NYS product.

Bottle. Poured pale with a fizzy white head that settles to a ring. Aroma of tart apple, musty, and earthiness. Apple flavor. Light body with a slight tart aftertaste.

CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - DEC 5, 2010
Pours a clear sparkling bright golden with a few small white bubbles. Has a fresh green apple skin nose with a touch of some grassy funk and light sweetness. Starts with a nice light apple sweetness with good carbonation and light hay and horseblanket complexity before a slightly drier, crisp finish. Pretty well-balanced and drinkable, but the funk is a little weird.

(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) clear bright yellow, very few bubbles. Nose is funky, fresh cut apples. Taste is acidic, fermented apples, a bit of sugar, acidic finish. A bit under-carbonated.

Pours pale yellow and fizzy. Crisp, sparkling, relatively clean and refreshing. Apples are a bit sour.

Bomber. Ripe apple nose with minerals. Flavors of light citrus, ripe and sweet apple, floral, light dust. Lightly tart. Rather plain but decent.

Aroma is apple juice and mild mustiness. The flavor is apples, mild sweetness, an odd nuttiness and a tart finish.
