On tap. Dark brown and filtered. Nose none as served way too cold. Taste of mild maltiness and light hops. Very drinkable and smooth. Good take on an English style ESB.

Nice take on an ESB by a small brewery/restaurant. Since I don’t have the brewer next to me, I can say it was pretty good--but I would still prefer a Fuller’s to this.

Draught at the brewpub, as Old Speckled Duck ESB
Cloudy amber color with a brown-green hue. The aroma is light, with malt. Good mouthfeel, strong malt sensation, mellow, strong hopping, quite aromatic. A very good American Pale Ale.

As with most everything at the Dodging Duck, this was very good. Using my new rating scale, I would have this again.

Great malt taste with a hoppy finish. I could drink this beer all day, but I like to try the others as well.

As with legion242, the brewer was sitting right next to me. He’s not much of a talker, but his ESB is very good. Nice malt flavor.

Good rust color; nice malt nose. Very close match to Fuller’s ESB. Hard to rate with the brewer sitting next to you, but good nevertheless.

wunderbier (1434) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 29, 2004
Caramel and toffee malt (L); floral and earthy hops (L); a hint of plums. Deep copper to plum body. Moderately sweet, lightly acidic flavor becomes a lightly acidic, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, watery texture, average carbonation. The bottom line is: the hops are great on this beer! I would love to taste more caramel malt though.

A nitrogen pushed ESB?? Very interesting, very original. Let this puppy sit for a bit til it warms.....then enjoy. Very smooth and easy to drink, malty flavor as expected, bitter hop finish. The nitro gave it a cask-like mouthfeel and taste. Good work!

One of the best bitter's this side of the pond. It's now being served up nitrogenated! Being somewhat of a regular, I can tell you this beer is very well received by others. It's a real treat to have such a great Brewhaus just down the road.
