COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Too extreme to be called beer? Brewed to a colossal 45P, boiled for a full 2 hours while being continually hopped with high alpha American hops, dry-hopped every day in the fermenter for a month, and aged for a month on whole leaf hops, 120 Minute IPA is by far the strongest IPA ever brewed. And at 21% ABV and 120 IBUs, you can see why we are calling this the Holy Grail for Hopheads. Editors note: ABV reduced down to 18% in 2009.

Had on tap @ Burger Bar in Vegas. Came a dark golden color with thin lacy head. Aroma is sweet and floral with extreme hoppy notes. Flavor is delightfully sweet with a nice bitter finish

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2017 Bottle into snifter. Pours a deep amber with a white head. Notes of floral hops and booze on the nose. Same on the palate with a bit of caramel. Nice slight booze burn on the finish. Great brew but not worth the price tag.

Drank at home from a bottle. Just a rock solid IPA with a malty backbone. Nice fruity aroma.

Bottle: just because you can do something doesnt mean its right. Deep copper color, good head and lace. The aromas are dominated by a slow or stuck ferment. The palate is sweet and hot. Its probably has a high VA. Folks talk about hops, I dont know how you see them with all the malt, alcohol and slow ferment profile. Intense flavor but no balance. A very poor beer.

Smells surprisingly malty and dank with some spicy hops and booze. Great burnt orange color with a tiny cap of cream colored foam. Tastes sweet up front, then slight pine hops with a boozy aftertaste that lasts a long time. Smooth palate, the only noticeable carbonation is at the end. This was good. Not worth the hefty price tag, not one of the best DIPAs I have ever had, but good.

Bottle shared by MatC, thanks - Color: clear amber beer with no carbonation and no foam. Smell: resin domination and caramel, pine. Alcohol. Taste: full body with strong resin blast and caramel. Very bitter and quite hard to drink. Interesting. Good body and nice attenuation. Aftertaste: resin and dry bitterness blast, alcohol. Very good for such extreme beer.

I didn't like it . They did better with the 90 min. This taste like straight alcohol. Bums juice. I'm sorry but just my opinion. The hops are faint. Alcohol is the main taste. Some fruit notes. But again the alcohol drowns out all the other flavor and character of the beer. Was very excited to try this and when I did... it was a let down. The look is like piss after a very, very bad night, the smell is hoppy, malty, , citrus, the taste is honey, hops, bitter fruit mixed with sweet fruit. I know Pliny is the IPA to drink but I prefer this one.

Pours light copper, foamy white head. Aroma and flavor are as advertised, big hop punch, white grape peel, some wood and caramel. Distinct burn going down.

Pours clear copper with a thin white head. Faint aromas of tropical fruits (lychee), bitter/peppery hops, and pure alcohol in the back of the nose. Initial flavors of caramel malts, light tropical fruits, citrus fruits, and peppery hops. That sweet arrival is short, being rushed outta the way by the alcohol. Medium-light body, low carb. Finishes bone-dry with a clinging warmth of alcohol. Basically, its boozy heat distracts from the best parts of the beer.
