On Tap @DFH Ale House, MD

Poured golden yellow, frothy white head, with nice lacing on glass. Aroma wonderful citrus, grapefruit, grassy, and slighty malty notes. Flavor very balanced mix of grapefruit, and glassy hints. Nice hop bite with a slight malty tone in the middle. Nice dry finish. Medium bodied, with a smooth mouthfeel.

A solid IPA, but would you expect any less from DFH? Hoppy and citrus (mainly grapefruit), but balanced with some malt. I think the 90 is better, and the 120 is close to perfection, but if you just want a regular IPA you can hardly do better.

Pours a light orange with small white head. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus. Very lively and hoppy. Some malts. Grassy. Bitter, dry finish. Not as good as the 90 minute but a damn good beer. Dogfish delivers again

Overall and excellent IPA. Aroma is beautiful with a floral/smokey mix. Flavor is unique and delicious. Hops are present and finish is smooth and smokey. Hints of Oak abound. One of my top 3 IPAs of all time.

I may have liked this one even better than the Dogfish 90 Minute Imperial IPA although the ratings say otherwise...go figure, who said this was a perfect science. Anyway, poured yellow/clear slight cloud. Stamp says bottled 2 months ago, and tasted fresh...found at local Whole Foods Market.

Strong inviting hop aroma. A nice tan orange color with a formidable head. Not as bitter as the 90 min, but still very good. Had a crisp refreshing quality.

This is a VERY good IPA. It has a nice aroma of pine and floral hops. This beer is easier to drink than the other Dogfish IPAs. I has a nice balance and will be a regular beer in my rotation.

The nose is greeted with a strong aroma of floral and some fruitiness. The color is a deep orange with a rich tan head. Head retention is almost fully lasting and the lacing is considerable. Initially there is a bitter citrusy flavor with a dry hoppy finish.

Pours a clear golden with a normal white staying head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, and floral hops. Also some sweet caramel malts. Taste is more of the same. Not perfectly balanced, and it shouldnt be, since its an IPA. But, unlike a lot of IPAs, the caramel malt sweetness fits in well with all of the flavors. This beer is a lot easier to drink than the 90 minute due to the lack of alcohol burn. I also feel less guilty drinking a few of these in one sitting. Very good IPA.

Bottled: Golden coloured. Unclear. Huge white head. Herbal, flowery and spiced aroma. Some citric notes and pineneedeles in the background. Flavour is citric, chocolatish, herbal and flowery, light fruitnotes. Full bodied and loads of power in the mouthfeel. Ends on a bitter note. Pleasant and balanced. Thanks to Probiere for trading this.
