En ft chez American Flatbread, VT. Trs belle IPA avec beaucoup de houblon. Le houblon est floral et fruit et symbiose complexe avec un malt caramlis.

Pours a pale gold with yeast particles floating around. A big, quickly fading lacy ivory head. Smell is overwhelming hops and light grassy malt. Taste is bright and lightly sweet with a pervasive hops bitterness. Tastes of freshly mown grass. Big hops throughout. Round hops aftertaste with a surprisingly light body. Somehow, the grassy flavored malt holds its own against the hops. Very smooth. Would actually be a good session beer for my tastes. A very nice, very different IPA.

Medium orange-amber color. Thin cream head which dissapears quickly. Sweet fruity aroma. Very bold and dry taste. Bitter, tastes of pine (like fine gin), hopps. A very nice IPA.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy and copper, with a small head of tiny bubbles. Pretty much what you want from an IPA. The aroma isnt as strong as I would have expected. Piney and floral hops dominate, and a malty sweetness works its way in toward the end. First sip is citrusy, bitter and dry. Yum. As is warms, it mellows out, but never really picks up a maltiness like other IPAs. Its a good IPA, but its missing something to make it great.

I should say that I tend to like Dogfish beers, but nevertheless I think this is exactly what an American IPA should be: bottle conditioned, a little hazy with a strong bitterness complimented by assertive hops in the flavor and finish. This beer also has a good maltiness to balance the hops and is appropriately on the dry side. Im not a stickler for style (what fan of Dogfish could be) but an IPA should be well-attenuated and dryish. Well done.

Clear orange golden color, short head. Aroma is very hoppy, typical of an american IPA. Taste is bitter hoppy, bit sweet and dry, spicy, herbal. Full palate, very nice balance.

The boys from Delaware know how to make an IPA. Big flowery hops aroma to get you excited. Nice white head, long lasting. Some malt in the palate with a hops kick and astringent finish. Good stuff.

Once again big thanks to my collegue for bringing the booze. Clear dark golden coloured, thin lacing. Strong hoppy aroma, flowery, with some fruit perhaps. Bitter flavour, full mouthed. Very well balanced. Good beer, i wish we would have more examples of this style around here in the Netherlands.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2006 Pours a dark golden color, with a large head. Tastes of pine, lemon and strong acidic flavors. Very nice aroma.. and the best balance of malt and hops out of the DFH IPA line. An outstanding IPA.

Transparent yellow-gold in color. Creamy, tall white head with great lacing. Aroma is sweet lemon grass, honeycakes and pine. Hits the palate as smooth and creamy. IBUs seem to be almost an afterthought, as theyre not as powerful as I was expecting. Muted carbonation. Grassy, pine and lemons compose the majority of the flavor. This is one smooth IPA, and a solid rendition of the style.
