Had this guy on tap. Wowzer... bursting with citrus and tangy flavors with a mild bitter hop to balance it out. kinda malty too, really really tasty from the source. seymour (2121) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - MAY 25, 2017
Drank from bottle at a concert in the park. Solid American IPA as described, firm malty base plus huge grapefruity, musky, piney hops, hints of honey and caramel. Lingering bittersweet aftertaste. Medium body and carbonation. Smooth, no alcoholic heat at all. Good stuff, though less unique than it must’ve once been. jbethea (71) - Miami, Florida, USA - MAY 20, 2017
Clear amber color, nice head. light spice on the nose. A hop forward, balanced citrus with a hint of honey. Relatively middle of the road for today’s IPA standards, but if considered just as a session, I’d have to say it’s one of the best I’ve had.

Somehow missed tasting or reviewing Dogfish Head’s flagship IPA all this time - anyhow this well-balanced brew will definitely now become a regular feature in my beer selection. From the bottle, pours a pale gold-tinged amber color with steady foam and lacing, hoppy but not resiny aroma of pine and citrus, some bready malt. Flavor follows as a more mellow and floral hoppy profile with a background of slight caramel malt, moderate bitterness that doesn’t stick to your palate. Northwest piney flavors cede to an aftertaste of citrus tang and orange rind. Medium-bodied and smooth, overall an enjoyable melding of East and West coast IPA accents.
