3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I enjoyed a couple pints of this beer on tap in Delaware. The beer had a dark, rich amber color with low visibility and a good-sized, white, semi-creamy head that had good retention, along with great cling and good lacing. Its aroma featured a blend of zesty citrus and pine hops along with some floral components and lighter earthy notes. The taste was fairly bitter with citrus flavors along with a very light sweet malt flavor and touches of lemon and straw. Its body was just a touch creamy and full with a good dense mouthfeel along with medium carbonation and good fizz.
Bottle enjoyed during at tilted kilt in Boston. Backlog rating from bottle collection and historic scoring. balloonbuffoon (752) - - DEC 20, 2017
12floz bottle, BOD: 09.25.2017, $1.75 unit cost, pint glass. A golden colored American IPA with a very slight haze and small amount of head. Citrus notes dominate the nose, which while present in the nose are equal to medicinal and grainy flavors in a palate that is medium in body and bitterness. No major flaws nor is it extreme. These are not knocks, just saying of the hundred (approximate) different IPAs I can get in any grocery store in my area this would rank somewhere in the middle as an option. nuplastikk (6514) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 25, 2017
12oz bottle. Odd that I never rated this til now. Had it when it came out in test run bottles back in the day. So even before tasting it mega props to this beer for making the public think about the boil more constructively....really upped the ante in that regard. Old school pine, resin, dryness. Really antiquated flavors, bold and heavy and in tune with what was hot at the time. I hope this bottle got skunked or something. Really unimpressive. IncomT73 (13) - - NOV 25, 2017
A little thin and too malty for my taste. Better takes on the style available.

Served from bottle, aroma is light citrus with slight hopes.Coloration light golden, fitting of an IPA.Carbonation is mild and light.Should have a little more carbonation. The taste, notes of citrus with slight nutty taste, overall a muted taste in my opinion.Palate is light and pleasing.Overall this is a great beer, but i prefer a more bold taste.I would recommend this beer to anyone that is crossing over to microbrewery beer. The light taste will not overpower, most that drink Bud and other cheap domestics. wdfloyd70 (1) - - NOV 5, 2017 does not count
Every beer from this brewery I have found to be exceptional. This is a hearty hoppy brew.

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2017 Semiclear medium brown with visible bubbles and medium off-white head. Sweet malt, citrus and lemongrass. Piney with barley and other malts. Pretty basic but apparently a 'classic'. Chrisd180 (46) - - OCT 25, 2017
