Johnny Cask has entered the building! Weve retrofitted a 15 barrel tank to perfectly produce a very special cask conditioned ale (so, we have a little time to play around during winters at the Delaware coast). This beer, known as Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA is a blend of 60 and 90 Minute IPAs with a special whole leaf cascade dry-hopping session. Post-hopping the beer gest transferred into firkins and dosed with fresh yeast and maple syrup from the ole family homestead (actually the first batch will be re-fermented with maple syrup from the farm up the road from ours since ours wont be ready until late March.

Only the ratings for bottles and single-cask pours of this should be rated. The 50/50 blends of 60 and 90 where they come from different taps are not rateable, and do not belong here.

Cask - Nice rich head. Only a mild bitterness from mixing the beers. Certainly has more sweetness then the 60 minute and more bitterness then the 90 minute. Has a creamy taste to it. I know there is maple syrup in her but it is only a hint, helps add to the overall sweet flavor of the beer.

Malty has the bland of 90 minute and light fuzzy of 60 minute. Tangy with a grass flavor. Not worth the cost of the beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled 10/07/15 (so about 90 days out). Pours pale golden, white head. Aroma is classic DFH IPA, orange tangerine sweetness, lemon, definitely some sweet notes, maybe the maple syrup comes through a bit. Flavor is orange, lemon, nice citrus, and maybe some syrupy sweetness, but I feel like its more just imperial IPA sugar sweetness, rather than just maple syrup, but as it warms, the syrup comes through more. Im a fan, though. Its not overly bitter, but the citrus does shine through. Nice mouthfeel as well, kinda creamy. DFH does IPAs well. Not as good as 90 min, but still great.

Pint bottled. Nice copper Orange. Has a similar taste of 60 but a little bolder. Has a grassy floral upfront taste. After a bit it starts having a fruit hops. Great ipa

Tasted from bottle. Pours a hazy beige gold with slightly off white head. Aroma is citrusy with lemon, grapefruit. A little caramel and maple syrup as it warms on the nose. Taste is a moderate bitterness with a nice sweet malt backbone. Sweeter taste then nose would suggest but not overly sweet. Flavors of citrus fruit, caramel, maple syrup, earthy notes. Excellent IPA just like all the other dogfish IPAs ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
