COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Esquire Magazine calls our 90 Minute I.I.PA., "perhaps the best I.P.A. in America." An Imperial I.P.A. brewed to be savored from a snifter. A big beer with a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate. This beer is an excellent candidate for use with Randall The Enamel Animal! 90 ibu

Wordsworth (147) - Austin, Texas, USA - JAN 13, 2013
UPDATED: JUL 17, 2015 Bottle poured into stein glass. Pours a hazy amber with some straw color near the bottom. Thin pencil collar. Soapy lacing leaves sparse threads down the glass. Aroma is straw, earth, hints of citrus and pine, hops, and Marcos butt. Tastes is malt heavy with a long, consistent hops bitterness that does not bite as hard as expected. Honey and citrus influences are present as this fades to a bitter aftertaste that sits on the back of the tongue. This Imperial IPA is delicious and easily one of my favorites, with a well hidden ABV that sneaks up. This not recommended for beer newbies or the faint of palate, but is a fantastic beer for fans of the variety.

Pours beautiful clear gold, big white head. Aroma is citrusy, raisiny, honeyed, winey. A touch of pine. Taste is balanced, honeyed, slightly sweet, bitter notes, fruit, alcohol, fleeting soft finish. Mouthfeel is fairly heavy, creamy.

12/20 really boozy, big taste, has that stewy belgium beer feel rather than a light fresh ipa. bitterness hidden by malt taste.

Great beer. Very well balanced. For a 90IBU beer, it's very balanced. Overall, a top notch brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: APR 23, 2017 Bottles purchased at craft beer cellar. Very faint, indiscernable aroma. Pours medium clear amber, little head retention but still quite carbonated. Sweet date and raisin initially and complexity builds on the palate with piney, grapefruit peel, and malt flavors. Beautiful and complex DIPA. This is a classic for a reason.

Woahhhh bitter hoppiness! Pours amber and has a sweet and raisin-y aroma, but packs a giant hop punch. You can definitely tell that the IBUs are up there... but the 9% is pretty well-masked. Very flavorful and a great one overall. Good for getting home from Sunday worknight with Five Guys and sharing with your sweet love.
