Good amber head. Nice retention all the way to the bottom of the glass. Very well balanced hop monster. Wonderful floral hop aroma and great full mouth feel. One of my top 5 all time favorites. hair-old (191) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 29, 2007

What can I say I agree!!
Esquire Magazine calls our 90 Minute I.I.PA., "perhaps the best I.P.A. in America." An Imperial I.P.A. brewed to be savored from a snifter. A big beer with a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate. This beer is an excellent candidate for use with Randall The Enamel Animal! 90 ibu
Tasting Notes: Brandied fruitcake, raisiney, citrusy.
Food Pairing recommendations: Pork chops, beef, grilled fish, frites, focaccia, split pea soup, Stilton cheese & escargot.

This is my overall favorite beer. I always keep some 90 minute in my private stock at all times. The alcohol is hidden very nicely. DFH is pretty good at masking the alcohol. Starts out a bit hoppy and then finishes with a sweet aftertaste with a hint of apricot. Just the right amount of hops and malts. I highly reccomend this beer. jwdevalue (158) - Neptune, New Jersey, USA - OCT 1, 2007
This is part of a beer club. Had only one bottle but was decent for the price. Poured great and had a nice finish. Would do again. Tilley4 (218) - Huron, Tennessee, USA - NOV 27, 2007
UPDATED: DEC 14, 2007 I was pleasantly surprised with this beer. More of a fan of stouts and doppelbocks but I can get this everywhere so I thought it time to give it a try. Poured much darker than I was expecting, a beautiful clear amber colof with a small head that faded into a 1/4 foamy ring. Pretty hoppy smell which I thought might turn me off to it but I was wrong. Very crisp, clean taste, moderately hoppy, with a nice malt base as well. Very piney and fresh smelling. I thoroughly enjoyed every drop of this beer and this is something that I will definitely be having again. This was a very good beer.
This has become my favorite beer. It is easily accessible to me, tastes unbelievable every time I have it, and is worthy of this rating, in my opinion. Now, I have never had Dreadnaught and it may be better but as of now, it doesn’t get any better than this. I commend you, Dogfish Head, I commend you.... UPDATED: MAY 26, 2009 I’m a big lover of hoppy beers, and this one always comes to mind when I think of hops. Excellent when paired with a Don Pepin black label cigar.
