Dungeons and Dragons is nothing without a weird new beer to go with it (or so my friends and I have always believed.) The story behind this one was pretty interesting, but then again they always are, aren’t they? Head was short lived and white, while the beer was brownish amber. Aroma was fruity and herbal with just a hint of spiciness. Flavor was tart, with notes of pomegranate, rhubarb, and honey. It was a little on the dry side and very complex, making it a perfect candidate to enjoy over the course of a nice long evening. Quite enjoyable! jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - JUL 15, 2014
Bottle while hanging with the lagunitas crew in chicago, from notes. Sweet, with caramel, moscato wine and dark grapes. Good. drpimento (3640) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 4, 2014
Very interesting beer. Smallish had kind of a muddy color short-lived head. Aroma is honey spices hint of acid. Flavor is fabulous like aroma much more concentrated and exotic. Really good beer.

Rated on 02-28-2013 at DFH Brewpub, Redobeth Beach, DE. This draft beer has a very small beige head with a short retention, golden transparent body, no carbonation noted, and no lacing. The aroma is malt, wheat, honey, fruity, raisins, and spicy. The flavor is spicy, sweet, malt, honey, raisins, fruity, and has a dry finish. This beer is medium bodied and the mouthfeel is mild. This beer is quaffable, a sipping beer, somewhat complex, worth trying, and a beer I would drink again. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - JUL 4, 2014
Pours a brownish kinda amber with a medium bubbly white head. Aroma of herbs, nuts, brown sugar, grapes and a malty sweetness. Flavor was also herbal with nuts, some tropical fruits and sugary.

Tap at brewery. Copper pour. Very complex. pomegranate, fruity, herb, floral. Big almost sweet body. A lot of things happening. Interesting GnarlyGnome (770) - Fairfield, Ohio, USA - JUN 28, 2014
Bottle: Pours a nice golden bronze color with a quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is full of lots of fruit and herbs... very intense aromas that are hard to identify. Some earthiness as well. The taste is slightly tart, with lots of the fruitiness coming through again. Light in body, with a soft carbonation, this is a nice drinker... Very complex flavors that are unique. popkow (308) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUN 16, 2014
Amazing how fast the thin head dissipates. Smells of alcohol and floral arrangements. Taste a little bitter and some pomegranates slash rhubarb. Palette is on the thin side with a nice extended finish. BelgianBeerGal (4066) - Panama City, Florida, USA - MAY 4, 2014
First of probably many at Fishales. Bronze dare I say mauve color with no real head. Sweet aroma from grapes and sugar. Sweet flavor with some light wine and grape juice notes too. Pleasant and easy drinking. AirForceHops (7240) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 4, 2014
750ml bottle purchased @ One Stop Market back in March 2013. Snifter displays a amber with a (dare I say) Bronze color. Lasting ring of head with some retention. Aroma reminds me of incense burning in a Middle Eastern flea market. Sir, would you like to buy a Persian rug? No seriously, It smells like incense, that’s all I get.
Flavor has light pomegranate juice, Lightly tart, cracked black pepper and hints of some type of honey. Lightly grainy body and has some wheat feel to it. The carbonation is lively that kicks up the pepper flavor quite a bit. Medium- bodied, moderate carbonation. Texture is on the syrupy sweet side. I really wanted to like this but… meh. It’s just ok. Different indeed.
