A mix of the 60, 90, and 120 minute ipa’s
A: Pours a hop-hazed amber color with a small eggshell colored head into a pint glass. Retention is ok
S: Wow, really nice aroma...citrusy hops from the 60, sugar/alcohol/tons of hops from the 120, and a nice firm malt base from the 90. Seemingly balanced but maybe a little sweet
T: A solid sugary sweetness and hoppiness from the 120 (apparently the batch that was to be dumped for being too sweet), malts to balance, and a citrusy/earthy hop bill to follow
MF/D: Full in body for sure, carbonation is smooth, the finish is sugary/citrusy hops.
Notes: I much prefer this to the 60, 90, or 120. Really wish this will be bottled, definitely a "normal" DFH beer drunkenpolack (319) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - FEB 2, 2012
Reviewed back in 2010 - This is a Imperial IPA that they state has the body of 60 Minute IPA, the alcohol of 90 Minute IPA, and the hops of 120 Minute IPA. Don’t care how they describe the beer. I loved it. It almost reminds me of a nice West Coast IPA. Very fruity. Apricot, citrus, and a nice piney aroma. There’s also a nice balance of malt in here. Fantastic. Growler shared by Doodler (thanks Scott) poured a clear orange amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of biscuit, carmel, tangerine, pink grapefruit and light tropical fruit. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, carmel, tangerine, light pink grapefruit and a hint of tropical fruit with a smooth dry lingering bitter citrus finish.

On tap in Rehoboth Beach. DE. DFH pours a lightly hazy copper with a small bit of lacing. Strong grapefruit, caramel, toffee, yeast, mold, light nutmeg, and chili peppers all have a place in the bouque. UPDATED: JAN 1, 2011 5oz sample from a flight. Pour is tarnished gold with a finger of white head; this one has great retention and pretty lacing. Nose is hops, light citrus, light floral notes, a good malt backbone. This is a beautiful DIPA that masquerades as an IPA ... hats off to this brew! Sampled on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Apparently this is only supposed to be available at the DFH Alehouses, but something got screwed up somewhere and a keg made it to Beer Run. I’m not complaining. Pours a deep amber color with a medium tan frothy head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel, and bitter resiny hops. Tap at the brewpub. Pours a mostly translucent deeper amber with a creamy off white head. Aroma of pine, mixed citrusy hop notes, lots of toasted malt and earthy. Flavor of the same...a really toasty/hoppy ale.
