Tap at DFH Alehouse Fairfax. Poured an orange amber color with a small, white foam head. Aroma was caramel, pine, grapefruit. Flavor was sweeter than I imagined, solid malt character, caramel notes. I wonder if they’ll be able to replicate the brew in the future... BeerandBlues2 (13216) - Escondido, California, USA - OCT 30, 2010

Flavor is heavy malt (bread, cookie, caramel, toasted), heavy hops (floral, pine, citrus), and average esters (apple/pear) with notes of peach. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation, low creaminess with a dry finish. beachbum25 (1092) - Powellville, Maryland, USA - OCT 18, 2010
On Tap @ the Brewpub, Rehoboth De-Clear golden pour w/a moderate white head. Strong pine hop aroma. Strong up front hop bite, pine tar/pitch, grapefruit, really grabbed you. Had a very sticky mouthfeel, did seem to have the hops of a 120, but no where near as sweet. This was pretty good, although I’m not sure how many more IPA’s these folks need to make! 60, 75, 90, 120...really?!? ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - OCT 14, 2010
On tap at brewpub. Poured a copper color with an off white head and lots of lacing. Big herbal and piney aroma. The citrus and the pine flavors are big. The flavors are smooth and well balanced and it finishes with lots of lingering grapefruit. Medium bodied with a sticky mouthfeel. afireinside96 (923) - Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 5, 2010
Growler brought back from the Rehoboth brewpub by my friend Steve. Pours on the reddish shade of amber with a thin diminishing head. The nose has an interesting combination of caramel and fruit, mainly berry and citrus, giving it a nose similar to Red Vines. It has a huge mouthfeel, slick and resiny. The flavor is similar to the mouthfeel but more candy-like. Sweet & hoppy. The finish is fairly balanced but leans slightly toward sweet. This was an excellent beer that I much prefer over any of the other DFH IPAs.

On draft at the Rehoboth brewpub after the 75mi bike ride for MS. The pour was looking a lot like the 90min, orangey in color, firm white head on top, dissipating moderately. The aroma was strong grapefruits, orangey sweetness, caramel, and faint honey. The flavor followed, pine hops included. The mouthfeel wasn’t nearly as sticky as the 90min, and it was indeed more bitter, but it coulda been hitting me a bit harder with some hop slamming. Not bad, though. Too bad the bartender looked at me like mad when I told her that it should replace their regular 90min! sloth (2897) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - OCT 1, 2010
Medium sized offwhite head, very good retention and lacing. Amber copper colored, clear. Nose of citrus, grapefruit and caramel malts. Med/full body, a touch oily, needs some resinous notes for a DIPA. Flavors are some sweet malts, caramel, grapefruity hops , honey and a bit piney with some berryish notes, light alcohol notes as well. Finish is a tad sweet with a bit more bitterness needed. Props to a friend for the growler sampling. Moggman (235) - Columbus, USA - SEP 30, 2010
Sample from Growler. Pours amber withoff white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, grapefruit, slightly toasty. Flavor is sweet with notes of grapefruit, caramel, and lightly toasted notes. Finish is clean and dry. JaBier (7871) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - SEP 30, 2010
Growler shared by a friend. Clear amber pour with a huge tan head. Aroma of floral, grassy and earthy hops with a bit of citrus and a slight toasty character. Malty flavor with a bit of caramel, then it smacks you in the face with hops. Grassy and earthy with a bit of sweetness before a dry finish. Finish also has a spiciness like rye bread; kind of a caraway flavor. egajdzis (6502) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 20, 2010
Light red / brown / amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, pine, caramel malts, citrus fruits, and light alcohol. Taste of pine, caramel, grass, grapefruit, citrus fruits, and slight alcohol.
