I was really surprised how good this beer tasted. Okay, I like Centennial hops, but paired with the dried lemon, this is another awesome DFH brew! Just enough citrus character to make this a beer you’ll go back to.
Bottle @ ZZT 2016-1. Aroma of bitter hop, pine and malt. Taste has caramelised malt, pine, soap and ripe fruit. Solid, but a bit too old. Martinus (4701) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - AUG 1, 2016
Warm golden colour, white head. Aroma of hops, quite sweet, citrus, grapefruit, pine resin. Bitter flavour, hops, malts. Hoppy finish with some lingering malts.caesar (7281) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - AUG 1, 2016

Bottle @ ZZT 2016-1, small sample. Thanks all for sharing! Hazy orange color, short frothy head. Aroma of some grapefruit, pine, bit caramel. Medium bitterness in taste. Good one. 77ships (11051) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JUL 31, 2016
Thank you BDomua! 650 ml. bottle sampled @ ZZT 2016-1. 2011 Vintage! Dark hazy orange, little white head. Nose is old lemon, zest, herbal, green grass. Taste is milky yeast, low sweetness, lemon, zest, still quite big on lemon, still rather bitter, herbal bitterness. Sugar & yeast are showing. You get some vintage notes. Still pretty decent for a 5 year old IPA. Held up better than expected, must have been stellar fresh. Benzai (16682) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUL 29, 2016
Sampled from bottle @ ZZT 2016-1. Hazy orange color, medium sized off-white head that lasts for quite a long time. Lovely aroma of hops, malts, sweetish hops. Taste malts, hops, lightly resinous. Lovely stuff.

[Jan 9 2016] Big bottle from Bethesda Food and Beverage. Nice copper body with slight head. Nose is malty, peppery, lemon. Taste similar of malts, caramel, and lots of hops too. Alcohol noticeable and warming. Nice finish.

750 mL bottle. Originally reviewed 5/30/2011.
Big white head and a dark amber body. Head retention is good and the lacing is ample. A bit dark for an IPA, but it’s Dogfish, so I’m not surprised.
Smells of lemons and hops. Citrus character of the hops is overwhelmed by lemons. Smells malty, too. The combination reminds me of lemon Pine-Sol. It’s not really appealing.
The taste is better. The lemons don’t get in the way of any hop flavor. They seem to complement the hops and make it feel fresher. It really does just taste like 90 with lemons, though. No getting around it.
Heavy for an IPA. Too heavy, really. Fills me up way too quickly. I was glad I split the bottle with someone.
The smell is off-putting, but the taste is good, and that’s what I care about most. It’s 90 with lemons, which is an interesting twist, but I won’t be picking up any more of this.

Pours a golden amber color. Aromas of floral hops, some sweetness, and a touch of fruit. Flavors of hops, pine and citrus. Light body with a bittersweet finish and long aftertaste. sinfull (1798) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - JAN 5, 2016
Cloudy , amber color. Nice , off-white head. Honey , pine , lemon in aroma. Aggressive, hoppy bitterness balanced by caramel sweetness in taste. Good stuff from Dogfish, as usually. thorongil2 (3425) - , Ontario, CANADA - DEC 1, 2015
(tap) clear, bright amber colour with a medium tall beige head; aroma of citrus, stewed fruit; creamy palate; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish with a hint of lemon
