[ Vintage 2007 ]. Light unclear medium amber red colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, bread, oxidide, dried fruit, alcohol, smoke notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
12 oz bottle. Pours amber with no head. Smoked aroma, slight malty and rubber. Thick mouthfeel. Clearly fullbodied. Sweet raisin malty, syrup and oak hints. I don’t sense the vanilla, but the beer has a certain flavour smoothness. Good bitterness in the finish. Ungstrup (37951) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAY 8, 2004

Bottled. Dark amber colour, not much head. Aroma is leather, malts, hops and syrup. Flavour is leather, malts, a bit caramel. Also strong roasted and smoked notes. Hides it’s alcohol quite well. Travlr (25274) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 13, 2011
Draft. Clear amber color, small off white head. Aroma of lightly spiced caramel. Taste of subtle spiced brown bread. Not bad. omhper (25262) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JAN 21, 2002
Deep red, vinuos, hoppy and enormously complex with notes of vanilla and maple syrup. One of my all time favourites!!

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Degarth. Pours a cloudy, warm, amber golden with a yellowish head. Sweetish aroma of caramel and fruit. Soft mouthfeel, full-bodied with sweetish caramel and then some odd but fairly distinct smoked notes - as in a Scotch whisky. A bit flat and sticky perhaps. Ends with basically no bitterness. Definitely a different Barley Wine. 090407 madmitch76 (25009) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 10, 2010
24th October 2008. Hazy brown beer. Full on flavour! Slightly smoky beer with a sweetish mid and a little vanilla. The finish is a complex of sweet spirit and porty tones. Interesting - not had anything like this before.
