12 oz botttle. Poured a dark brown with small tan head. Average mouthfeel, not dry, but not oily either. The taste was a real pleasant surprise. Tastes of molasses, coffee, malts, brown sugar. Seems more like a porter to me. I didn’t pick up much in the way of hops. Finish was not bitter. I picked up a sixer of this for $7.99. I’m going back for more.

Keg at Beaverfest. Subtle is how I'd sum this beer up. Less sugar than I expected in aroma, perhaps some burnt sugar. Otherwise malt, coffee and nuts. Light bitter taste whicb grows in strength. Light-medium bodied. Slock with a sticky residue. Abrupt finish. Good but too subtle to have too much impact.

Poured from a bottle. Dark brown in color but you can see through it a bit. Head is on the beige side. Nose is malt and coffee as well as caramel and a bit of booziness. Some lighter notes that are hard to place as well. Taste leans towards brown/scotch ale. Definite coffee and malts as well as brown sugar and raisin. Toward the end there is a crisper hoppiness. Interesting beer. More dominated by the darker notes than expected.

Bottle pours a dark brown with a one finger beige head and thick sticky lacing. Aroma is primarily malt. Taste is very rich, heavy malt with a bunch of underlying flavors. Finishes a touch sour with a delicious aftertaste.

Rich malty. Not as hoppy as IPA. Would definitely try to find this beer again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours amber, brown with a nice 3-finger tan head and an aroma of malt and brown sugar. Tastes viscous upfront and of semi-sweet malt and brown sugar upfront with a mild hop finish. It’s medium to full bodied with minimal to moderate carbonation.
