Shared 750 ml. bottle at Lunar Brewing Co.. Poured to a snifter showing a hazed, orange/amber hue, modest, off white head foam, and spots & streaks of lacing. The aroma was light to the nose, but mainly sweet, with a touch of esters, and some light graininess. The flavor showed a narrow amount of bitterness with some earthiness and lingering quality, but was surrounded and dominated by sweet maltiness. Medium bodied, with some alcohol presence, but not necessarily a strong example of a DIPA to me. BillWyce (1128) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 16, 2013
From notes: Poured hazy orange-amber with a 3-finger off-white head. Aroma is of citrus, maybe orange and grapefruit, with touches of caramel and earthiness. Body is medium and lightly oily, with a lingering astringency to the finish. Flavor of grapefruit, with notes of pine and some earthiness. jrodooo5 (1753) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - AUG 15, 2013
Very disappointing in this one! Just seems too bland for DFH! Pours murky gold w/out much head or lacing. Aroma has faint hop citrus notes. The taste is kind of watered down bitterness? Not sure what’s going on here. TheJester (2543) - Cavan Monaghan, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 13, 2013
750 mL bottle. Nice amber-orange with a small, sticky white head. Interesting aroma, with pineapple and pears. Taste is sweet and fruity, with apricot being noteworthy. The malt is definitely present as well - toast, toffee maybe. Good, but the flavour falls off quickly. Carbonation isn’t too heavy. Not as bitter in the finish as some. Different. Nice beer. 5000 (6900) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Bottle:   Fiery golden, slight haze and sediment, moderate frothy sandy head, nice lacing.   Somewhat of a musty and pale fruit hop aroma.   Somewhat strange.   Doesn’t seem like an IIPA, not that strong in hop,
malt, or alcohol.   Barely an IPA in my book.   Sweet, a little mealy towards the end.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Musty and barnish hoppy finish.   This was really weird, very much like an aged IIPA,
but I have had this only for 5 months.   Not a bright or sharp example, muted, and even then not all that hoppy or malty.   Its an odd duck.   More like an IPA if anything.   Musty, hoppy but not biting, seems a bit stale
overall.   Don’t detect the 8% ABV at all, which is nice.   Pretty boring overall, yet without any flaws.   Just tastes... well... old.

Yet another old IPA from the Millvale beer festival. Pathetic. I can't believe they charge money to dump old product. Malt bomb. thorongil2 (3630) - , Ontario, CANADA - AUG 9, 2013
(tap) hazy yellow colour with a small white head; aroma of stewed fruit; clean balanced flavour with a long strong bitter finish vickvega82 (40) - Maine, USA - AUG 2, 2013
Pours a beautiful clean golden color with a dence white head the dissipates reasonably fast. Smell is indicative of Dogfish Head’s well documented citrusy hops. The initial flavor is quite smooth but some what bland and for what I would expect for a dogfish IPA. For a collaboration beer between dogfish and Sierra I would expect a much bolder flavor. All the typical dogfish IPA flavor is there but but far to muted. nimbleprop (9022) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - AUG 2, 2013
750ml bottle pours a slightly hazy, yellowy orange with some thin, creamy, white head. Nose of tropical fruit, some orange and grapefruit, a little birch, malty and a little floral too. Flavor is bitter, grapefruit zest, papaya, some pineapple juice, again an earthy birch-ness lurking underneath. Full, bitter finish. AdamGott (387) - Idaho Falls, Idaho, USA - JUL 31, 2013
slightly cloudy (ever so slight clouding) - golden yellow pour with medium white head - aroma of malt and biscuit with very slight grapefruit - flavors of rich malt, grapefruit and biscuit. finishes with malt/ligh brown sugar.
