Had on tap. Excellent DIPA. Tastes of flowers-maybe its that new hop variety. Great body & lace. Maybe slightly lacking in the aroma dept., but otherwise perfect. phikus01 (112) - New York, USA - FEB 27, 2013
UPDATED: MAR 4, 2013 Like several have noted, the expected blast of hop aroma just wasn’t there. It was not a bad aroma, just lacking in hop pungency, yet canceled out malt offerings. The hops delivered well in the taste, balanced well with excellent play on simple malt bill augmented with the Carolina wheat. Floral melon grapefruit biscuit with lingering perfume. Slight alcohol presence balanced well with the hops and malt. Great balance of brewery technique. Very unique and delicious. Wish it was in four packs cause the bomber is pricey. Nice thick white head, good typical ipa color. Nose of pine with a little citrus. Medium-full body, malty, pine, good amount of hops. Very tasty beer, nothing TOO special but very good. dwyerpg (6187) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - MAR 10, 2013
This is a strange IPA. It’s alternating lay smooth and aggressive, spicy and plain. It has a bit of a Belgian triple character to it, like an Urthel hop it. Still, easy to drink. drpimento (3640) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 26, 2013
From a properly chilled bottle: Poured with a massive, cream-colored, foamy, frothy head that lasts to the bottom of the glass and good lacing. Color is a clear amber with a few bubble trails. Aroma at first reminded me of oxidized hops, but then other qualities, such as caramel malt, spice, grass, & peppers, come through and round things out. Flavor’s like nose, bitter is in front, fairly dry except in the finish where some residual sweetness lies; carbonic tang is just right. Body/carbonation are perfect for this brew. Finish is as stated above, has a bit of alcohol warmth, and has some length. This is a welcome reminder of more traditional American IPAs with a sense of balance. Very quaffable.

Bottled sample from Specks in San Antonio. Could be one of the best beers I have ever had. Pours golden with medium head. Great aroma, and very complex taste. Loved it halfonit (1366) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 13, 2015
This bottle was aged 2 years so I’m really looking forward to having this badboy. Pours a nice and cloudy deep golden, amber color with a thick off white head. Aroma is of fresh citrusy hops, oak, the floral notes are really fresh too, some earthiness, and a little soap. Lacing is a little loose. Nice and tasty palate. Flavors are of hops, citrus, floral, sweeter malt undertone, and a little oak. Dry finish. Great stuff. Braudog (6716) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - MAY 27, 2013
Bottle. Attractive pour ... crystal clear, pure amber, with a nice rocky head of gurgling foam. Not much aroma here, and the beer drinks with a suspiciously easy-going style ... exceptionally smooth, smacking with just a friendly little quota of earthy, green hoppiness, and just enough alcohol burn to make you wonder whether this might be high gravity, but not enough to convince you that it is. This is a delicately assembled brew, that’s for sure! (#5041, 5/27/2013) BrewtopiaofPJ (37) - Miller Place, New York, USA - FEB 12, 2013
Pours golden amber with near white head. Citrus hops aroma. Tastes like it smells, Almost taste like it’s a 4%. Great beer! bucs572000 (237) - Minnesota, USA - MAR 6, 2013
This is a great collaboration beer. Nice hop aroma in the nose. Very hoppy up front but calms way down, this a beautiful beer so many different flavors, citrus, caramel, honey dew melon, also very good balance of malt and hops. Love the hop residue in my throat after each sip. Got this in a trade and want more!!
