You can handle the truth! MYTH: IBUs (hop bitterness) can only be achieved in the boil. TRUTH: Uh-uh! The truth is, Dogfish Head has been doing innovative things in the world of hopping since we opened in the mid-90s. From our continual hopping method found in our 60 Minute, 90 Minute and 120 Minute IPAs to our latest innovation of post-boil hop additions found in our Liquid Truth Serum! Our unique process involving pelletized, powdered, leaf and liquefied hops makes for a blissfully inefficient IPA that's truthfully hoppy without being deceptively bitter. You'll find the perfect match of citrusy and tropical notes, making for a zesty finish ... honest.

Nice, light floral IPA, not at all bitter and higher alcohol than the flavor hints at. MARCH MADNESS 2018!

Clear gold, palate is slightly clingy. Light bodied, with general hop bitterness (citrus, pine). Hint of crackery malts.

Hazed light gold. Candy hoppy aroma. Same taste. Fruit resiny. Chaulky malt, light dry toast. Super nice ipa.

[Bottle (12oz)] Pours a murky orange with an average size long-lasting fluffy white head. Minimal to no lacing. Pleasant fruity aroma, lightly hoppy and with bready malt in the back. Fruity flavour of grapes and citrus, light hops and an average bitter finish. Medium bodied. Pretty good and better than expected.

Yeah as the description says the exotic notes are there but it doesn't become an orange popsicle IPA, nothing really stands out here and it's quote-unquote well-balanced, which is good but on the other hand, nothing really stands out here either.

I usually choose a metal song to pair beers with, but Liquid Truth Serum was the perfect match for the compelling Netflix series, Wormwood. The docudrama explores the disturbingly ill-fated CIA attempts to use LSD as a truth serum in the MKUltra project. Happily, my experience with Liquid Truth Serum was less disturbing. This hazy yellow IPA has earthy and tropical aromatics. The taste profile is complex yet cohesively balanced. Lemongrass, tea leaves, tree resin, grassy nectar, and pineapple zest. Surprisingly low-key bitterness. Crisp and sticky textures. There are more intensely flavored IPAs but they often come at the cost of being much less approachable.

Has a golden amber on the pour with a medium white head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruit notes fills the nose, some notes of malt and yeast. Taste same as aroma with some mild citrus herbal hops bitterness. Palate is a medium smooth body. Finish is mildly sweet citrus and fruity, with some mild citrus hops and yeast on the end for balance. Overall a fairly smooth and good drinking brew.

BOD 10/19/17. Cloudy golden pour. Outstanding head volume, quite outstanding retention and very good lacing. Quite outstanding nose of sweet citrus and tropical hops. Light orange, papaya, light lemon and sweet mango all make an appearance in this complex nose. Intensity is quite outstanding as is balance. Medium body that is somewhat slick in texture and attempts to coat the tongue. The carbonation / body balance is quite outstanding. The middle has a nice burst of prickly effervescence and the finish is finely bubbled and tickles the tongue. The flavor profile is very good. Compared to the nose, it doesn't quite deliver. Flavors don't separate well and basically remain a tasty blend. You can sense the sweetness and know it's fruit, but I cannot separate the flavors. Bitterness is low to mild and has a touch of zest to it. The finish is a slow fade while light zest lingers.
