COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You can handle the truth! MYTH: IBUs (hop bitterness) can only be achieved in the boil. TRUTH: Uh-uh! The truth is, Dogfish Head has been doing innovative things in the world of hopping since we opened in the mid-90s. From our continual hopping method found in our 60 Minute, 90 Minute and 120 Minute IPAs to our latest innovation of post-boil hop additions found in our Liquid Truth Serum! Our unique process involving pelletized, powdered, leaf and liquefied hops makes for a blissfully inefficient IPA that's truthfully hoppy without being deceptively bitter. You'll find the perfect match of citrusy and tropical notes, making for a zesty finish ... honest.

12 oz bottles from Kroger in Short Pump, VA The IPA poured a clear light amber color with a frothy head ans limited lacing. The aroma of tropical fruit, pale malts The hop experience is intense with citrus juices and passion fruit. The medium body ale has average carbonation. There is a lingering bitterness after each swallow. This bold brew is refreshing enough to enjoy again and again.

The beer looked pale golden in color, and hazy upon pouring, and the head was quite small and short lived, barely rising to one finger thick at its peak. The aroma was tropical in character, evoking smells of mango, pineapple, and passionfruit. The fruity taste was that of mango, honeydew melon, and papaya, with a mild resinous bitterness in the finish. The body was medium dense, and the aftertaste was quite long and hoppy. This is a tropical East Coast IPA, but with the clean finish more typical of the West Coast style.

12,oz bottle from Xroads. Poured a hazed bright gold with a smaller foamy bright white head. Aroma is all citrus, lime..orange..tangerine..ruby red grapefruit, but with a big sour bite on the end and after reading the other rates not sure this was intentional. Flavor is the same, lots of citrus up front to start followed by some grain and a slight sourness on the end for some reason. Meh.

Excellent IPA in a 12-oz bottle. The beer poured a clear and bright light golden color with an ample white head. The aroma featured some brisk happiness and a hint of lightly toasted. The body was clean and featured some really delicious flavors, with notes of oranges, lemon, grapefruit, biscuit and floral hops.

This is a pretty ho-hum that I find way overrated. A hop flavor but not that bitter. Finding recent dogfish head beers blase.
