Midas Touch Golden Elixir is a beverage based on the residue found on the drinking vessels in King Midas’ tomb. Our recipe highlights the known ingredients of barley, white Muscat grapes, honey and saffron. Somehwere between a beer, wine and mead, this smooth, dry ale will please with Chardonnay or I.P.A. drinker alike.

Strong honey and barley notes in the aroma.Smells as good as it looks. Head settles in quickly to reveal an pale, crystal clear, golden ale worthy of King Midas’ fingers. Smells as good as it looks. Minimal lacing. (Head don’t last long, but carbonation acts like a pilsner). Medium mead-like sweetness that finishes subtlely bitter. Light-medium body with a fizzy taste resembling a fine champagne. This ale is as brilliant as the story on the bottle as to how they obtained the recipe!! By the way, this one will get you sideways quick!

Bottle Vero Beach Fl ABC. Light gold in color and clear with thin head. Aroma make me think of white wine (white grapes) and orange blossom honey. Light bodied, sweet and balanced with no strong alcohol taste for being 9%. " between wine and mead" is about as accurate as you can get with this sweet beer.

Rami Rami is drinking a Midas Touch by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery at Kamienica Hoża 41 No troche jak utleniona dipa ze sladem winogron i bez szafranu. Miod dominuje. Ale nie jak w braggocie tylko jak z utlenienia... alko schowa

12oz bottle, found at a grocery store in Moncks Corner. Hazy golden amber with a thin white head. Raisins, grapes, prunes, mid-palate sweetness, ginger, wine. Full bodied with evident alcohol. Drying finish. Take some time with this one, unusual but very good.

Vom Fass Stone Brewing Berlin 2016-11 getrunken. Wird wohl mit weiße Muskattrauben, Honig und Safran gebraut. Klingt spannend und schmeckt auch echt gut. Allerdings wirkt es recht schnell etwas langweilig. Aber das ist heulen auf hohen Niveau.

12oz bottle shared by commonshawn. Combined in Moeder Lambic snifter glass. Golden orange color with a quick to dissipate white head. Nose is mostly bringing to mind sweet malty notes with a little but of a dark fruit, wine like presence. Taste follows suit with a sugary, malty sweetness. Kind of an odd sticky and syrupy feeling. Some dark fruit. I can see why the description implies a wine drinker would venture down its path. Alcohol burn towards the end. A few too many touches of these will definitely sneak up on you.

Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza, Canada Water. Really lovely and fruity beer. Soft fruit and some grain in the flavour.
