Midas Touch Golden Elixir is a beverage based on the residue found on the drinking vessels in King Midas’ tomb. Our recipe highlights the known ingredients of barley, white Muscat grapes, honey and saffron. Somehwere between a beer, wine and mead, this smooth, dry ale will please with Chardonnay or I.P.A. drinker alike.

Sweet aroma of honey, grapes, plums and cookies. Appears a ckear golden color with noticeable effervescence of large bubbles and with a head that dissipates quickly. Flavor is clean, with honey, herbs, and some surprisingly spicy notes, with an equally suprising tart finish. Palate gives the impression of being thin and watery, yet somehow hides the majority of the alcohol. Overall, quite a strange brew but pleasant nonetheless. My thanks go to joeybgood for this tasty brew.

Rami Rami is drinking a Midas Touch by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery at Kamienica Hoża 41 No troche jak utleniona dipa ze sladem winogron i bez szafranu. Miod dominuje. Ale nie jak w braggocie tylko jak z utlenienia... alko schowa

12oz bottle, found at a grocery store in Moncks Corner. Hazy golden amber with a thin white head. Raisins, grapes, prunes, mid-palate sweetness, ginger, wine. Full bodied with evident alcohol. Drying finish. Take some time with this one, unusual but very good.

Vom Fass Stone Brewing Berlin 2016-11 getrunken. Wird wohl mit weiße Muskattrauben, Honig und Safran gebraut. Klingt spannend und schmeckt auch echt gut. Allerdings wirkt es recht schnell etwas langweilig. Aber das ist heulen auf hohen Niveau.

12oz bottle shared by commonshawn. Combined in Moeder Lambic snifter glass. Golden orange color with a quick to dissipate white head. Nose is mostly bringing to mind sweet malty notes with a little but of a dark fruit, wine like presence. Taste follows suit with a sugary, malty sweetness. Kind of an odd sticky and syrupy feeling. Some dark fruit. I can see why the description implies a wine drinker would venture down its path. Alcohol burn towards the end. A few too many touches of these will definitely sneak up on you.

Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza, Canada Water. Really lovely and fruity beer. Soft fruit and some grain in the flavour.

Bottle at Mugishutei, Sapporo, can't locate date on bottle. Pours a cloudy deep orange gold, low head. Alcohol aroma at first, then honey, grapes, spice, perfume. All the notes in the flavour hit simultaneously, a lot to unpack. Sweet honey with booze warmth, slightly oxidized, plenty of grape tartness and strong ale malt lingering. Medium body with decent up front fizz, but shifts to warmth and smooth like a honey tea for a cold but with a dry finish. Very interesting, tastes like it might have a bit of time behind it which works just fine.

Disappointing typical macro pilsner-like aroma. Slightly darker than gold with an off white head. Tastes like green grapes and honey with a sparkling wine palate. Interesting, worth trying, bought a single, I wouldn't want a 4 pack.
