COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A witbier bursting with good karma. Made with dried organic orange slices, fresh-cut lemongrass and a bit of coriander, this Belgian-style white beer is a great thirst quencher. Namaste was originally brewed at our pub in Rehoboth Beach with our Italian friend Leo from Birra del Borgo. It was a tribute to our friends at 3 Fonteinen brewery in Belgium, who had devastating production loss (1/3 of their annual production) in 2009.

Aroma: spicy and funky; dry; Appearance: cloudy yellow pour with thin white head that dissipates slowly; Taste: lightly spicy with bready-cerealy finish more like a lager; Palate: light bodied with long, spicy finish; Overall: okay but not my favorite style. Would not get again.

Aroma is peppery, orange peel, citrus, wheat, coriander. Appearance is light light straw yellow, white head, hazyish. Taste is peppery, spices, wheat, a sweetness, citrus, decent. Mouthfeel is light body, light crisp carbonation, peppery wheat aftertaste. Overall, its definitely crushable, even for a style I usually pass.

Great summertime beer. Pleasant start with a sirprising finish. Not too heavy, but with a quality balance usually only found in heavier stock.

JPDIPSO (6094) - Wauwatosa, USA - AUG 25, 2016
Pale straw color with a moderate, white head. The lemon and citric peel hold the most attention in the nose. Hints of dough, pale wheat and malt. With a little more effort I do catch a bit of coriander and lavender. Light sweet malt in the front that lead to mild citrus. A touch sharp in the middle with bitter orange peel. A decent wit, but the sharpness distracts. A good effort on a delicate, difficult style. 8/10

Complex nose, floral wheat with touches of coriander and pepper and a malty finish. Pours cloudy golden with thick white foam. Medium body with moderate active fizz. The wheat and spice dominate the taste with the malt in the background in a good balance. The orange flavor is subtle and comes out after several sips The finish is dry and crisp. Sampled at Pittsburgh Big Pour 2015.
