COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A witbier bursting with good karma. Made with dried organic orange slices, fresh-cut lemongrass and a bit of coriander, this Belgian-style white beer is a great thirst quencher. Namaste was originally brewed at our pub in Rehoboth Beach with our Italian friend Leo from Birra del Borgo. It was a tribute to our friends at 3 Fonteinen brewery in Belgium, who had devastating production loss (1/3 of their annual production) in 2009.

12oz bottle 5/8/16 (Jewel-Osco Clearance Rack)-40 in Tumbler-Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma of spices, wheat, coriander, and citrus. Taste of the same with some yeast coming in as well. This light bodied brew is well balanced and quite tasty.

On tap at Bigbys Pour House in Addison, IL., and shaker served showing a hazed, light gold, almost straw color, with a fluffy layer of white head foam, and spiraling rings of lacing on the glass. The nose was subtle wheat, esters as peach/apricot, orange, & lemon zest, a light spicing of coriander, and a bit of tartness. The taste was similar esters, light to medium bodied, with a combination of the wheat, yeast, lively carbonation, and dryness that developed a pleasant tartness/tanginess on the palate. More expressive than most Wits, and quite refreshing.

Bottle to shaker glass, pours cloudy yellow. Two plus finger white head, scant lacing although retains nice. Aroma citrus and wheat. Taste is moderately sweet, slightly bitter and a touch of Belgian sourness. Light bodied, fizzy carbonation, slick mouth feel. Finishes quite dry. Tasting notes of orange peel, lemon, wheat, clove, peppercorns, grass and herbs. Not one of my favorite beer styles, but this is quite good, rather shocking!
