"Wish list cross off. Not as funky or sour as I was hoping, but still good. It smells and tastes musty, very wine like with some fruity sweetness and zesty Belgian yeast coming through. A slight saison like tartness is really the only funky stuff. Not really a wild ale...no bacteria in this Bad boy. Some kind of grape fungus or something. Anyway, nice but hoping for something a little more outside the box for DFH."

Bottle, shared by a kind soul in a location remote to my dining room.
The beer pours an extraordinarily pale color with a small head and some lacing on the glass.

The aroma is straight up white wine, with some melon and peppercorn... which of course are perfectly legitimate aroma notes for a white wine, honestly, blindfolded I wouldnt guess its a beer by the aroma.

The flavor is bright and fruity, not terribly sweet with a touch of black pepper and white grape. Its really a lot like a dry-ish white wine in character... good fruit, mild acidity, some brightness.

As a general Dogfish Head skeptic, I have to say this one worked out just fine.

Bottle. Clear. No head. Light fruit aroma. Off dry. Massive round palate. Honey. Very wine like.

Interesting beer but not fantastic overall. It has its moments in key areas. Malt and grape/wine aroma. It has a champagne or ginger ale look that has gone flat but it wasnt. After the head dissipated it looked like wine. Light and dry palate with a sour hint. Dry fruit flavor of mostly grape and a little berry. Solid beer just not something to drink regularly.

Nose: sweet bread notes and a little funk, but very pleasant Appearance: pale yellow with nice white head that disappears quickly. Some large bubbles Taste: just like the nose like spreading the sugar from sour patch kids on a great piece if bread. Not overly sweet and well balanced. Finish a little short I like this beer very approachable and drinkable while also being special ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured into tulip with a light golden colour with a medium head that had little retention. A lot of carbonation with a bright fruity aroma. Ingeniously borders on the line of wine and fruit beer. Smooth taste with a light body.

1pt 9.4fl oz bottle poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint. Sparkling gold with two fingers white head. Aroma is grapes and very slight hops. Very tart, sweet wine flavor. The 9% alcohol is well hidden, only slightly warming on the finish. Leaves you with a very sweet, almost cloying, lingering flavor. Definitely gets the saliva flowing. This actually reminds me of a very weak sparkling white wine (champagne). Definitely not what I expect from a beer but I like this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle (750ml): pours a light golden with white head the disappears. Very fruity and a lot of carbonation. Tastes more like a bubbly white wine than a beer. Nice to try, but not my thing.
