2007 bottle at DFH Rehoboth Beach, on the same day that Roy Rogers’ horse Trigger and his German Shepherd (both stuffed, of course) were sold at auction to some guy who owns a radio station. Our dessert beer. Golden copper color, off white head, scant lacing. Aroma of caramel, white wine, brandy. Taste of alcohol up front, candied caramel apples, vanilla. Very tasty. omhper (25742) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - NOV 23, 2004
Bottled. Deep golden colour, no head. Sweet and vastly malty. Sugary, but that does not disturb. Enough hops to overpower the sweetness. Bitter finish. Very enjoyable.
There is no way I could guess tthis beer was 15%. madmitch76 (25568) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 17, 2010
9th December 2008. Very hazy orange amber beer. Low carbonation. Intense sweet porty notes followed by sweet toffee, a little spice and a very light touch of hop. A little licorice in the warming finish. Delicious and way too drinkable. Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 15, 2006
(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, pale amber golden with a creamy, white head. A nose full of both citrus and caramel. Extremely full-bodied with accents of peaches, vanilla and caramel and an extremely warming alcohol. Some aroma hops but not really bitter. Quite lovely. 110606 Leighton (22307) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 23, 2017
Bottle shared in Hackney - many thanks to Mitch. Vintage 2005. Pours unclear amber with a small, foamy off-white head. Meaty aroma, some caramel, oxidation, bread, fruitcake. Big sweet flavour with lots of ripe, meaty berries, caramel, low bitterness, just a little earth, figs. Full bodied, super thick and chewy, oily, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, lots of sticky toasted sugars, ripe berries, dates and gigs, cherries, fruitcake. This has aged reasonably well. Pretty damn sweet. Great fun.
