This brew here fits my tastes in just about every way. First off after opening the bottle I noticed the sweet ginger aroma that was not overwhelming but very present along with a nice yeast and malt scent. The flavor iS smooth, the head was thin, and the silkiness lingers on with the presence of ginger and honey. Overall a good drink that I wanted to buy more of. Tried this beer at a tasting with 21 other beers. Pangaea really stood out with its ginger, which I would say is the dominant flavor in the beer. There was almost a tingling on the tongue with each sip. unclemattie (4357) - Georgia, USA - AUG 11, 2006
Seth ordered this beer at the Bier Stein, Eugene. This beer tastes very unique. I’ve never had one like it. Midas Touch but better! more refinded.
Golden color. Nice fizz.
Crystalized ginger throughout to the finish. TheElder (49) - DeSoto, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 29, 2008
I’m not going to lie to you. I really enjoyed this beer. It poured the truest orange I can describe, with a little beige head. It doesn’t move around on the palate much but for initial tastes I get honey and spice. It reminds me of the innards of a cinnamon roll. Great. VitaminR (540) - Colorado, USA - FEB 14, 2010
Honey with raw sourdough and spicy fruity notes cutting through. Brilliant deep gold color with orange hues, medium head that dissipates into a lazy yet pleasing soapy film. Rich warm sweetness balanced by a sharp spicy bitterness, some barnyard funk. Delicate carbonation, medium to full body, finishes with clean candy ginger and some rosemary. I was not expecting to like this as much as I did. It has an amazing array of flavors and nuances, truly one of Dogfish Head’s best beers.

Despite recently having an 08 that has aged really well, I decided to dig through the notes and do the 06 I had 2 years ago. 25oz bottle. Pours out a nice light brown hue, white head. I had my suspecions that this onewas over the hill, far from it. Aromas are really yeasty, spices are in tact. The palate is smooth, slight oxidation but it actually helps exentuate the ginger. Flavor cascades across the palate to a lingering wonderful finish. This one ages maybe the best out of any 25 oz DFH offering. bbp182 (255) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 11, 2007
Wow, this is such a flavorful beer. Its amazing that Sam got one ingredient from every continent. The aroma is good, apperance is a lighter shade of amber, and again, the flavor is amazing, amazing as in its so much and everytime you sip it, its like a new flavor is introduced to me. philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 7, 2010
