25.4 oz. Bottle purchased in 2011 from Chuck’s 85th Street Hop Shop, Ballard, Seattle, Washington for $15.99. "Ale Brewed With Currants--20 IBU’s". Lacy lasting quarter inch bright white head. Clear pretty bright yellow gold color. Light Belgian yeast aroma with hints of Currants and mild hop notes. Tight sediment hazes brew slightly. Clean mild sweet fruit lick black currant Belgian Golden Ale body. Very nice medium texture. Clean mellow sweet smooth Belgian end. Very smooth and tasty. Aged nicely. (4.25 / 5.0). Serving: 750 ml. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a clear gold color with a large white head. The nose has a bit of grain and berry to it. The flavor reminds me of a grainy blonde ale with a slight currant and berry undertone. Not particularly remarkable. Light in body with higher carbonation. I don’t get the Belgian influence or much from the currants. Beerdedone (3401) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 23, 2012
Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma was fruity, bready, and yeasty. Flavor was very fruity with pale malts, bread yeast, citrus and grains.

Pours a clean orange color with a modest white, creamy head to top it off. Nose has a fruity orange citrus with some light grape with a light, clean Belgian yeasty ester kick and some light sweet malt tones. Flavor starts off with a sweet white wine kick with a light acidic kick and some very, very light peppery spice notes. Body is light with a slight oily feeling. Overall its kinda bland. The nose was okay but the flavor fell a bit flat as it died pretty quickly after the initial kick. A meh beer in my opinion as I expected a little more from a special beer put out by DFH. jandd1983 (4276) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - DEC 1, 2012
It poured a clear amber color with a white head. The aroma was of moderate fruit with yeast and soft hops. It had a medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. The taste was medium sweet fruit with a nice sweet finish of moderate duration. A refreshing fruit beer. Claves77 (260) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 1, 2012
nice golden hue, smells like a blonde or other weak pale beer. good tase, medium flavor, sticks around. expensive, not worth the cost by far. jar72404 (426) - USA - NOV 9, 2012
Bomber. Gold with white head. Aroma is sweet hay/straw and dark fruit. Favor is the same with a strong dark fruit / currant finish. Interesting and worth a try, but not something I’d regularly seek. Sarlacc83 (2287) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 9, 2012
750mL bottle. Split with my wife on 10-24-12
A: Clear gold with a fading white head. No legs.
N: Fruity and sweet. Currants and plenty of pilsner type malt. Some floral elements. White grape and green apple.
T: Very pilsner like again, but that’s not what I’d expect from a Belgian golden. Yeasty. The currents and grape are somewhat distant. Biscuity. Really, this doesn’t have enough of the fruit evident in the nose.
M: Very light, but very sharply carbonated. Alcohol is well-hidden.
O: It’s decent and worth a try if you have someone to split it with, but it would have benefited from more body and more currant.
