3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
750 mL bottle from the Village Beer Merchant in Buffalo, served in a branded stem glass. Pours clear golden with a moderate rocky white head that slowly fades. The aroma has notes of straw, pale malts, delicate hops and black currants. The flavour is moderately sweet with notes of honey, black currants, pale malt, straw and soft hops. The finish is medium-long with subtle lingering currants and hops. On the palate, it is light-medium in body with a smooth, milky texture and intense carbonation. Overall, this is a rather simple fruit beer. A disappointment overall from the guys at Dogfish; it was just too simple and one-dimensionally sweet. 2012-01-23
Poured a clear golden in color with wisps of white head. Lightly sweet and a bit musty with light grape notes. Musty-grainy aroma. alexsdad06 (11223) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JUL 4, 2016
750 ml bottle from notes and one popped recently. Pours a hazy orange golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale, wheat malts, honey, floral notes, berries, just not much to get excited about for a special bottle. oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 8, 2016
Pours a golden yellow color. Aromas of malts, fruity, and touch of grass. Flavors are mellow fruit with a touch of sweetness. slowrunner77 (13205) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 26, 2014
sweet, honey, wheaty:), yeast and fruit forward, but kinda standard, especially for a special release at a premium price. LOVED Bitch’s Brew. liked hellhound...this i could pass. possibly my lowest rated DFH beer." teddybeer (4256) - Madrid, SPAIN - AUG 24, 2014

I shared this with my dad for his birthday last year.
We both had this poured into stemless snifters.
The appearance was a nice hazy golden yellow to orange color with a decent one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. There was some light lacing sticking finely to the glass.
The smell had a nice blend of sweet Belgian spices well allocated within an amplified yeasty b readiness with some sugared fruits to round it out.
The taste was mainly sweet and spicey still allowing a nice light fruitiness to come out.
On the palate, it sits about a light to medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it.
Overall, wow, what a freaking nice beer that went extremely well with a peppercorn spiced NY Strip steak. bubblehouse (1624) - louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUN 1, 2014
Not bad but a little funky. Is maybe slightly to sweet for my liking but still a very interesting and tasty beer. Emeister84 (2652) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - APR 8, 2014
2011 vintage. Aromas of Heath bar ice cream, nutty, caramel, vanilla, white grapes. Hazy yellow orange with a mostly lasting white head. Simple flavors, light fruit, light malt, honey, subtle floral, fruity finish. Medium bodied, clean. HellesBunny666 (244) - Virginia, USA - APR 8, 2014
2011 vintage, on draft. Smells like white tea, and honey. The taste is bread like, sweet, oranges, lemongrass. Spicy and carbonated, pretty good. rumproasts (6052) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAR 2, 2014
bottle. Golden with big fluffy head. Light body with some sweet currant. Completely one dimensional. This really needs something to balance the sweetness, like a little tartness. Disappointing.
