3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Spicy hop aroma with mild pear flavors in the background. Appearance is yellow with a slight haze, a white head with great head retention and good lacing on the glass. Spicy hop up front in the taste. Pleasant but mild pear in the background. Mouthfeel is medium-light. Carbonation is medium-high. Overall, an interesting lager that would be a good thirst quencher on a warm summer day.

12oz Flasche. Hellgelb, lang anhaltender weisser Schaum. Kräuer, Hopfen, Blumen. Zitrone und Kräuter. Geiles Pils! SpringsLicker (3677) - Tennessee, USA - MAR 17, 2017
Gold body with a white head.
Spicy hop aroma typical of a Saaz hopped Pils.
The flavor has a fruity notes, must be the pear. The pear also smooths out the crisp edges from a typical Pils, giving this aspects of an ale.
Lightly bitter and easy drinking. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - MAR 15, 2017
Light gold pour with white head. Spicy light pepper and malt on the nose. Flavor is sweet malt start with a nice spiced hop finish. Medium/light bodied and smooth. Good medium bitter finish. hayduke (5677) - Eureka, California, USA - FEB 4, 2017
From a 12 oz bottle. Pours translucent gold with a big bubbled white head. Nose is pear and grassy hops. Medium in body. Favor is first very light citrus and and then the pear comes on with a rush. Finish is somewhat herbal. The pear hangs on. Dogfish Head is always pushing the experimental envelope and this one is no exception. I enjoyed this. Weevo (182) - Indiana, USA - SEP 19, 2016
Bottle, light gold color, pure white head. Crisp and clean, pear, wheat, slight carbonation. Not bad on a hot day.

Nice cloudy yellow color. A grassy fruity aroma. Taste is the same almost a raspberry taste. Not bad, different. djd07 (15544) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 31, 2016
Bottle. Pours a clear orange gold with medium frothy white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong grass and earth hop. Medium body, grass, bitter finish, decent. Ernest (7819) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUL 2, 2016
Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain/bread), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs), with a note of honey. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Not too bad, because thankfully the pear additions are not very apparent (still, why does DFH insist on putting unnecessary and sometimes downright stupid adjuncts in pretty much every single beer they make???)...in the nose it’s more like alfalfa honey, whereas in the mouth it does seem like it has a fruity acidity, which I’m not fond of for the style. Sweetness lingers rather long too, and there’s not quite enough bitterness to clean the finish up. Kinda flabby watery-syrupy mouthfeel is probably the weakest link. Mediocre but better than usual for this brewery. jb (3412) - Rochester, New York, USA - JUN 21, 2016
Seemed true to style -surprised by the additions. Nose is grassy and buttery. Clear gold with nice lacing. No off taste, well made and balanced. Dry, yes very dry, clean finish. Thirst quenching mouthfeel. Really good. douglas88 (9629) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 7, 2016
12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A big sweet corn pils malt nose. The flavor is sweet toasted malt, citrus, huge dry pilsner malt. Solid. Clean.
