Bottle. Almost clear golden liquid with medium egg shell white head. Massive amount of huge yeast chunks. Aroma of clove, wheat, some sweet fruit, bubblegum, grain and spices. Some tangerine as well. Taste is dry and light bitter with notes of cloves, spices, banana, apples and sweet fruit. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. A bit ciderish. Refreshing and drinkable. Very weissen/witbier like but with a cidery touch. glennmastrange (2881) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - DEC 13, 2012
Bottle. Moderate malt and hop notes ofgrain, straw and flowers, with apple and coriander in the background. Head is small, fizzy, white with a few spots of lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is clear light amber. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is medium, slick with a lively carbonation and has a lightly alcohlic finish. Very unique and a very easy drinking Fruit Beer. OmegaX (1375) - Florida, USA - DEC 9, 2012
A cool brew. Aroma of sweet apples, some light cayenne, and a slight triple like tropical fruit sweetness. Pour is yellow with a white head. Taste is similar, with a nice apple fruitiness, some subdued but noticeable cayenne, and an overall sweet finish. Very nice.

Thanks to Jordan for the share. This was a pretty complex apple brew. The aroma was spicy and yeasty with more and more apple as it warmed up. It tasted very herbal as well, but the dry apple finish made it a great drinker. The alcohol is very well hidden too. Once it airs out a bit it tastes like a cider/saison combo... Nice! Bottle. Poured a hazy golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate fruit, complex spice and yeast aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy spice & sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet & spice finish of moderate duration. My expectation where exceeded.

Pours a slightly hazy gold color with a thick white head that leaves great lacing. Smells of belgian yeast, coriander, apples, bananas, and cayanne. Tastes of all the same things with a hint of cilantro as well. Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation and a semi dry finish. This is a great tasting beer, glad I was able to get a few bottles. The cider/wit mix ended up a good combo. The cilantro and cayanne were great additions as well. Dogfish Head always impresses me with their innovative beers. Tap at House of Beers in Dunedin, FL. Spotty white head, huge pear flavor and some mild pear aroma. Super good. SDalkoholic (2395) - Linda Vista, California, USA - NOV 30, 2012
Bottle from South Bay Liquor: I usually pass up most Dogfish Head beers unless they sound interesting enough to spend more than $15 for a bottle but this one sure caught my eye since Dan the Automator has been a favorite producer of mine since Dr. Octagon and A Better Tomorrow so I had to pick this up. Cool concept with a rich storyline of how it all came about which I enjoyed spending hours researching but the beer is what I’m really here to write about. The liquid poured a bright sparkling gold with some evidence of sediment set in equilibrium. Created a thick fluffy pillow head that took several minutes to finally retreat in my glass flute cup so that I could finally drink it--very stubborn foam. Aroma is subtle with only a minor scent of apple cider and some high quality usage of barley and wheat malts, but other than that the rest of the smells are to faint for my nose. However, the flavor does deliver on the mentioned ingredients on the label by giving a taste of a sweet and tart fruit cider along with dashes of spices and a sprig of fresh cilantro. Alcohol becomes more apparent in the finish while holding a gentle carbonation level that allows the palate to be soft surprisingly since visually, the carbonation bubbles rise rapidly and violently.
