Pours a copper orange with a thin off-white head that dissipates very quickly. Smells like a bit nutty, a little raw pumpkin, and a hint of sweetness, and a little cinnamon. Nothing really strong coming through on in the aroma. Taste is spicy upfront, with a light pumpkin flavor, followed by a peculiar hoppy taste that I cant quite put my finger on. Finish is long with a bit of heat from the alcohol on the back end. Not a terrible beer by any means, but I remember liking it much better last year. Maybe my palate has changed or something, Im not sure.

32 oz crowler pours a hazy orange color with a nice white head. Aromas of pumpkin, sugar, roasted malt. Medium bodied, a nice pumpkin ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light amber with small fast fading head. Smells of pumpkin spices as would be expected but the flavor lacks any real pumpkin flavor and it seems thin for a 7% brew. Not full bodied, not brown, not really tasting much pumpkin, so overall yet another over priced big hype dogfish failure. Not sure why I took the chance since dogfish has let me down many times with their pricey nasty brews but guess it was a momentary lack of thinking that I hope never to have again on future dogfish offerings.

12oz bottle from the 2014 run (Courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Shaker at 42. Color is a hazy orange brown with good carbonation and a thin white head. Aroma is a slightly sour pumpkin spice scent. It has a medium body with a crisp mouth feel. Flavor is big spice a hint of vanilla and alcohol. After taste is bitter with the spice lingering on. Overall its not much different then most pumpkins out there and I was really expecting more from Dogfish, so in the end Im a little disappointed.

A Nutmeg-Clove-Fest with Malt making a strong showing at the party. Pumpkin invited, but maybe has just a toe in the door at this point? Not for me.
