COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A modern update on a 9th century Finnish proto-beer. Brewed with rye, we caramelize the wort with white hot river rocks, then ferment it with a German Weizen yeast. In addition to juniper berries foraged directly from the Finnish country-side we added a sort of tea made with coriander, cardamom, lemon grass, Indian Black Tea, and ramps leaves. The spicing is subtle and balanced and Sahtea is a highly-quaffable, truly-unique brew with a full-mouth feel.

This stuff literally smells and tastes like gingerbread...absolutely spectacular and the 9%abv will leave you feeling warm inside.

Hazy light brown colour with tiny white head and lots of sediment floating in the glass. Cardamon, cinnamon, juniper, yeast and malt in aroma. Spices, malt, bread, some sweetness, mild hoppiness. Very nice carbonation and stil rich palate.

Aroma is exactly like a chai tea or pumpkin roll. Taste is also comparable to both, with a slight bitter taste in the middle. It isn’t to overwhelming. I enjoy it and would have it again.

By far one of the best beers I’ve ever had. Has a great aroma of spices and dried fruits. Pours very smooth and hits the mouth with just enough intensity to make you say "wow"

One of the most crazy flavored beers I have ever enjoyed! This beer has flavors of berries and and just like the aroma there is a scent of black chai. This beer is truely an example of pushing the beer boundaries!

Bottle from Park Lane. Aroma is strongly Chai. Surprisingly authentic chai. Barely even a whif of beer. Hops are noticeably missing from aroma. Appearance is amber with a nice white head. Taste is strongly chai with a hint of juniper on the back end and a bit of a burn in the very back of my throat. The spices really come through. Overall a great beer. This is unlike any beer I’ve ever had and I would definitely purchase this again.

Smells great. Lots of juniper, a hint of ginger as well. Beautiful thick-looking head quickly disintegrates. Orange-yellow. The flavor is rich, juniper and thick tea. A thick malty rye finish. Really interesting, but very good. Cinnamon of chai tea but no milkiness. Maybe some bananas too. This is truly excellent as an adventure beer; I’d actually buy this as a six-pack if it was cheaper. It’s price is the only downside to this beer.
