Beautiful look and smell to this beer. Tasty, but nothing stellar. Maybe Ive just come to expect more from Dogfish Head. Maybe this isnt that good a beer...

on tap @ Vino Bellissimo / Lima OH --- Aroma of citrus and malt. Slightly hazy light-medium amber, white head that drops to a full cover, curtain of lace. Taste is malt with a heavy-handed bitter citrus in medium fizz, then all fades quickly in a short finish. Too much bitter. Poor balance, uneven performance.

Bottle in 2011, clear or lightly hazy gold color with average sized head. Lacing wasnt much. Notes of lager skunk, toast, toasted hop, and grain. Nothing going on with this beer.

Draft pour. Clear copper with a big head of white foam. The aroma has grassy and herbal notes. Dry herbal notes in the taste. Medium body and medium carbonation.

DFH really bringing the heat to OBF. No insult intended but come on man! Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A nice toast, caramel and citrus nose. The flavor is more of the same, lemons, oranges, some toast earthy malt. Solid pale.

Bottled. Fondly remembered from back in the mid. 2000s when I thought 60 minute IPA was a really hoppy beer. Good times.

Pours a cloudy sparkling amber with an average size frothy tan head. Looks really good. Aroma of sweet malt and floral hops. Flavour of malt, hops and citrus isnt hoppy enough -- in fact as it gets warmer it gets sweeter. Light bitter finish.

A favorite from years ago that Dogfish discontinued which was disappointing. I remember being at the Rehoboth brew pub one winter and the bartender said we discontinued it. I was ecstatic to hear they brought it back for a limited run. Golden color with a nice head that stuck around for a while. Pale ale nose to hit, weak smell. Not a lot of hop flavor, mellow and well balanced. More malt flavor on this then I normally like but again, balanced, not very sweet on the palate.

had on tap at Rehoboth beach...a very well balanced, aromatic pale ale. easy drinking, but still somewhat complex for the style. not a west coast, but has a nice hop profile atop a malty sweet backbone. good stuff."

The beer has a nice copper, amber color to it with a very nice off white head the laces very well to the glass. The smell is okay, it is very mild with a very earthy, mild citrus scent to it. I was expecting more from a pale ale. The taste comes out of no where with a great SMOOTHE blend of malt, mild hops, and yeast flavors. It was extremely smoothe that I had to ask the bartender if it was a nitro beer. The taste was completely unexpected and very good. The mouthfeel afterwards left you with a creamy, malty, mildly bitter taste. Overall, this beer was very interesting and did not follow the typical Pale Ale characterisitics, which was a nice change.
