Wet hop after dark 2016 (6.4%). Delicious & very pretty black ipa. Exceptionally smooth & rather light on the hops. Another brilliant DFH offering! jeremytoni (3058) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - OCT 28, 2013
From the tap poured a dark brown color with a good amount of head. Toasted malty, bitter, hoppy flavor with a lingering aftertaste. closey22 (1914) - Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, USA - OCT 19, 2013
Dark brown with lasting foamy tan and lacy head; aroma is rich chocolaty and hints of hops spicy; Flava is roasty and slightly hopy; feels light and finishes dry and hoppy bitter obxdude10 (2324) - Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 17, 2013
Dogfish evidentially decided to bring this back as a ’Brewpub Exclusive’ this past week. I was in Rehoboth on Monday, stopped in for lunch and sampled a pint of this dark pale/wheat ale. The beer poured a dark brown color with a very sticky and deep tan head. The nose was quite smoky, with notes of chocolate, crisp hops, caramel malt and yeast. The body was balanced nicely with spicy and bright hops, along with plenty of fruit, grass and chocolate. The beer left a smoky, but yet hoppy, lingering taste. Another nice combo of styles by DFH. At brewpub. Pours a brown clolor with a nice half finger off white, light brown head. Aroma is clove, spice, fresh herbs, grassy hops, some nice caramel notes in there aswell. Taste is citrusy, grassy, fresh herbs, a little toasty caramel. Also; I get a ton of Citra in this one both in aroma and taste. A good brew!
